Is the profile not been approved still happening - anyone know why?

Thats the 2-4th post this year I have seen someone say they cant get an approved profile

You're missing the point. People have been complaining about broken things here for years and the site doesn't appear to give a single solitary shit about it. If they don't care about the issues raised by long-term users, do you really think that your little flounce is going to scold them into action?

Pictures, I have found that this site chokes on large pictures. I run my pictures through a graphics editor and resize them to 800x600 before uploading. Problem solved.

Nope! That doesn't (and can't) fix the problem -- because the error "Profile not found" occurs when you click to send the message -- before you even get to the "Attach pictures" page!

If you're not getting this error, consider yourself lucky. For many (most?) of us, this is a permanent issue.

Though it's not clear if this is the OP's issue. They perhaps had problem uploading pictures to their profile, which is different.
