What is being discussed in this thread and what you referenced are two totally different things.

And when i acted like i was having a difficult time, i was chained up for days.

Were you restrained heavily enough so it was physically difficult. (I'm fascinated by multi day bondage situations and how others process them).

I don't know very much of what will happen to me while I'm in captivity. Except that I've seen pictures of the cell I will be kept in, and know that I will most likely be gagged a lot of the time (aside from eating and drinking). I will also be heavily restrained a lot of the time. Perhaps all of time... I don't know.

I've got experience with the discomfort of long term bondage. Even when it causes only relatively minor restrictions, it can still become incredibly painful over time, so I'm curious about how my body will cope with, lets say, being gagged for 24 hours straight.

And lets just say that if my captor is dumb enough to send me to the grocery story with his slave, Ullr will be very surprised at the fact that I'll be showing up back home too early... even if it'll take me a while to get there while hitchhiking.

Let's just say it's a process and after a while, you get beaten down and give up. I didn't have a 'home' to go home to. And that is probably what made my experience different then what yours will be. Mental reality vs mental fantasy.

I'm thinking (heavily suspecting) that it won't be happening before Monday 24, because I got Thunder in the Mountains this weekend, and prior commitments play wise with several other people.
Though, everybody I play with knows I'm fucked up enough that none of them would be surprised if Ullr makes my excuses for not being there because I got kidnapped instead, so who knows.

Maybe... though I doubt it, because it would add another 7 hours to my captor's drive, and he's already got 16 hours to go from where I live.

Going from Thunder it would make it a total trip of 23 hours, which now causes the complications of keeping me secure overnight while he sleeps.

After Thunder makes much more sense logistically.

23 miserable hours confined in a cage in the back of a rented uhaul truck sounds like a great start to your adventure. He could always sleep in the vehicle or even stay at a motel while you're out in the parking lot.

If I were him, I wouldn't do it.
It's too risky. You can't keep somebody entirely quiet, even with the best of gags. You can always scream past a gag, even if it's unintelligible,

Every time you stop, you run the risk of being discovered.

Heck... stopping for gas is really already an unacceptable risk, let alone staying in a motel.

If it were me, I wouldn't even dare to take the uhaul to gas stations, keeping jerrycans with fuel to fill it up instead.

You are misunderstanding the properties of acoustical foam, and mistakenly thinking it can be used for sound proofing. It can't, it's only used to avoid echos.

At the most, what it would do is absorb the resonance so that I couldn't turn the entire truck into an echo chamber, but that still wouldn't minimize the original source of the sound, i.e. me.

Lining the entire cage with a good layer of lead might do the trick, on killing the sound completely, but how are you going to set something like that up in a rented uhaul a 1000 miles from home?

You don't need lead to soundproof things. Materials can be bought and you certainly don't need much to surround a small cage. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Plus he could just give you sleeping pills or somehow render you unconscious so you won't make noise.

As somebody who's actually done soundproofing on a construction level, all I have to say is that you are vastly underestimating how complicated true soundproofing is.

You're right that soundproofing a uhaul could technically be done, but doing so would be prohibitively expensive, not to mention logistically complicated to pull off in a strange town without tools and a workshop. (Which is why I mentioned lead, it would actually be one of the easiest ways to do it.)

It's certainly not as simple as duct taping some foam up, and absolutely not worth it just to add a few hours onto an already grueling trip, just to be able to pick me up at Thunder.

It would be well worth the effort. And I've been involved in soundproofing projects. It could be easily done in a small space like a van or a uhaul. Double layer soundproofing material. The key is to leave a gap of airspace between the layers.

I'm a housewife. And Ullr has a slave. So technically, yeah, I could disappear for 6 months and life would go on. I'd miss out on a bunch of stuff I've got planned, like several hunts I've got tags for in October. And the solar eclipse we're all supposed to go see as a family. And Tess' mom visiting.
But really... no real harm would be done by me missing those things. And while some of the maintenance would definitely fall behind, I'm not really needed here to run the house. Ullr's slave could manage without me.

When I was originally planning this, and negotiating with my captor myself, I was thinking about a time much shorter than that (4 days). But Ullr said I was thinking too small, and a week was the absolute minimum to get the experience I wanted.
So I asked him what time he suggested as optimal and he said 6 weeks seemed like a good starting point. I was shocked by that, because it seemed much too long to me, at which he said that if it was necessary, it could as well be 6 months if that's what it took to 'do it right'.

So yeah... I'm not a huge fan of the 6 month idea myself... but I did ask Ullr to negotiate on my behalf, knowing that he was considering durations much longer than I originally had in mind.

So I really don't think it'll be 6 months (at least I hope it won't be *fingers crossed*). But I guess I'll have to wait and see.
