HardDom4Sub -> Underage users and tech issues (7/20/2017 10:38:07 PM)

Hello folks,

Sending messages to Support these days seems to be a complete waste of time.

Several times I've sent messages advising of underage users on the site. This is where people have declared in their own profile that they are just 16 years old! My messages are ignored and the profiles are allowed to continue.

On the tech side, attaching pics to messages is a feature that no longer seems to work. Again no response on that one.

Another worrying issue is that when browsing my account I sometimes find myself inside a total strangers account! This has happened several times now, so something is seriously wrong with the way the site functions.

Things don't seem to be getting fixed now as they break. Getting logged into someone else's profile is a big privacy and security issue. I suggest being careful regarding the information you have in your account. Underage users is a child safety issue and I'm pretty shocked that CollarSpace are ignoring this problem.

There is no you fuk off...the lot of you

MsLadySue -> RE: Underage users and tech issues (7/21/2017 1:17:37 AM)

The owner of these two sites have been ill for quite some time. Nothing is being done to upgrade and most of the reports are not read by people. When enough reports (we don't know what number) come in about one profile/discussion then something is done. There are very few actual mods on site.

I have no idea what you are trying to say.

HaveRopeWillBind -> RE: Underage users and tech issues (7/21/2017 1:35:17 AM)

If you see underage users on the site, use the report function. You might also encourage others to do the same, but keep in mind that the TOS here prohibits naming other users in your profile or journal entries. From experience I suspect that the number of reports required for the system to automatically remove underage accounts is much lower than for other TOS violations. Though that is just personal speculation.

That's a shame. It wouldn't cost much to hire a freelance coder to fix the problems. The underage and privacy issues are no small thing.

Sorry, perhaps I wasn't clear. When I said I've sent messages advising about underage users, that was using the report function. It's clearly not having any impact as the profiles continue to display. The TOS are not being enforced, so fairly meaningless right now.

here's a suggestion, why don't you just mind your own fucking business instead of trying to control what other people do.

Really? Then why the fuck don't you pony up and pay for it yourself?

The owner isn't interested in anyone helping, free or not. He's not interested in selling, either. He has other issues.

Aaaaaand you missed the point. Good for you.

smh

The point is that people HAVE offered to pay for things themselves, have offered to buy the site, have offered to volunteer time. And they have all been rejected.

So no point in jumping down people's throats, as you seem to be doing on every thread

Gosh, you sound incredibly angry. Maybe you are on medication so I'll go easy on you, as people who hurl abuse at strangers have mental health issues. You clearly don't care about child safety and seem to have put yourself on the side of the abusers. Sorry to disappoint you but if I see where children are open to abuse and exploitation I'll do what I can to stop it. Have a great day, and I hope you feel better soon.

Lol. Why would I pay costs for someone else's business? CS is a commercial venture, not a registered charity! Lol.

Actually, is the site for sale ? I'd bid.

It would seem not. See quote below from post #11

Well, at least point out to the secretive/sick owner that the fake young women account creation bot has been down since the 19th. Demographically inexplicable wonder, down from a regular half dozen each and every day to 0 for the past half week. Kinda looks bad.

Lol. Yes, I noticed that too. It might also be very difficult to create a genuine account now. More and more things seem to be breaking as time passes. I've started getting logged out now when viewing some profiles, and quite often it shows me as being in someone else's account! Good job they don't run a bank! Lol. I don't know the owner, but it seems like commercial suicide to let the site fall apart.

ResidentSadist -> RE: Underage users and tech issues (7/24/2017 7:12:45 AM)

I wonder what search criteria or what chat rooms you hang out it that you come across underage members??? I been here over 10 years and have come across all of one underage profile in all that time.

Or the http://www.collarspace.com/default.asp?v=2664021&o=1&bhcp=1 hi my name in my country it is selina and slave r ?

All the singe-photo borrowed-from-instagram, single paragraph "slaves" and so on ? But please. The last time there was a genuine new user it was a different season outside.

Can't say I've ever seen one either. And if I did see one I'd suspect it's the usual fare, as above : bored dude without employment bullshitting online. That 16 yo cogent enough to find this site is a unicorn dream from the 90s.

I don't hang out in chat rooms. It's not my thing. I certainly don't search for underage members either. They appear on my home page of users online. Not much I can do about that except report them. However, as the report function appears to be defunct I created this thread. Here's an example for you - http://www.collarspace.com/details.asp?v=2509127&bhcp=1

Now you can say you've seen two! Lol. Not sure where you are, but we get a lot of underage users in the UK.
