Leonidas made that point? I'm feeling pretty good right now.

Btw... the answer to your question is simple. If i were in his position sure. He does whatever it takes to make sure he constantly controls the laser pointer. I'd much prefer a public debate about whether it's ok to look into the sun for a few seconds then whether i'm a Nazi sympathizer or anything along those lines.

So you'd rather run on shenanigans rather than merit as well.

It's a valid tactic for sure. It'll win him the next election too, because as he keeps the country entertained, nobody really has any idea what he's actually doing behind the scenes. (You can go digging for that stuff, but it takes a while to even find it.)

Meanwhile nobody around here (I live in the middle of nowhere red country) has reconsidered their vote, because all the media has is "Trump is dumb, and so you hicks are also dumb for having voted for him!".

They're insulted enough at this point they'll vote for him again, just to piss the liberals off.

He's got them where he wants them... and yet...

I wish we could live in a world where an American president could run on the merit of his positions, instead of on making a circus out of the media... no?
It's good to have dreams I guess...

But apparently Trump has already decided that, whatever it is that a man would need to have in order to run on his own merit, and his merit alone, he doesn't have it... and so throwing nuts at the monkeys is all he cares about.

You ridicule Trump for glancing at the sun. Have you not done the same thing ? Maybe at least once.

The issue isn't whether people have glanced at the sun or not -everybody has at one time or another- the issue is whether a person would in Trump's position.

He's the 'leader of the free world', under constant attack, his every move scrutinized weighed and judged, he's already ridiculed for everything and anything he does.
The entire country's news sources have been screaming for weeks that you shouldn't look at the sun unprotected, and he's got a team of advisers at his beck and call.

In that situation... would *you* have been dumb enough -or have lacked enough self-control- to be caught on camera glancing at the sun for the entire world to then make fun of?

Well... before everyone was talking about him looking up at the sun today, what was everyone talking about about him?

How much him being POTUS embarasses "We the people" most likely. Just speaking from my American heart

I totally agree with you.
It's not that i would rather... but look how easy it was. And how effective.

Even you fell for it. And you're probably one of the brightest people here.

I didn't fall for it. I've been pointing it out to people since before the election.

I've also been pointing out since before the election why the people around here would vote for him, and at the moment I'm trying to explain why they'll do so again next term.

Heck, I support them in doing so, unless we have a better alternative... which I dream of, but don't consider likely.

If Trump hurt his eyes watching Eclipse. Libs would be happy would they not be?

No

+2....I actually feel bad for him since maybe his people didnt properly explain it all to him. Science can scary shit for some folks

Perhaps they did explain it to him. But, after listening for a full 30 seconds, he decided that, just like global warming, it was another leftist conspiracy to redistribute wealth and ignored their advice ...

Besides his common 'sense' tells him that he knows better than any expert ...

Danemora -> RE: In case you were still wondering... (8/22/2017 2:11:43 AM)

All hail President Skroob! 😊 Trump can Twitter us up an assinine response when he can handle that much responsibility.

Or learn how to spell.

Lol. Yep. Or... both!

You two paired up is so freakin' adorable! It reminds me of two monkeys trying to fuck a football. Did I spell that properly enough for you two chuckleheads? Should I type slower so you both can follow along?
