All Dizzy said was that *she* would not call them a slave. She commented on what *her* thoughts were. She never made a blanket statement that *her* opinion on the issue was the one *true* way and everyone else was wrong as Ishtar tried to imply, several times, that she did. In fact, she didn't.

The funny thing is, if you say you base your relationship on a 'historical view of slavery'... slaves didn't set expectations and conditions or set standards for their owner... so that whole line is a bunch of manipulative BS.

Actually, this statement was referring to the OP - which given his distress at her disobedience - is a fair assessment, since we have no other details of their relationship.

and for standard operating procedure for slavery IS obedience. I would hazard a guess if you asked 99% of people on this forum what made a slave a slave, obedience would be in the top 3 answers.

Solely form my perspective, and without wishing to run over anyone else's dogma: And with the caveat that stopping my sub/slave from going to a website isn't really something that I'd do;

If I regarded myself as a master, to a slave, then I'd simply tell her not to, and expect her to obey.

If she went ahead and disobeyed, yeah - I'd be having a long old think about the extent to which I was a "master" and she a "slave".

The idea of setting up monitoring software, blocking websites, and all of that hoo-haa leaves me cold - I'd have no interest whatsoever in a sub or slave with that little self control that she needed to be treated like an infant.

Just my twopence worth.

Christ on a stick - the whole "true slave", "what is a slave", "is it possible to be a slave" debate has been had a bazillion times. I've seen, and am aware of, dozens of m/s relationships which all apply their own take on, and definition of, "slavery" - some of them work really well (even those that make me shudder just a little) while others don't.

You need to train your slave. Your command should be law. If she is disobeying you she is not a slave... yet. You need to take the time and train her. If she wants to meet other slaves, then you should control her profile and monitor everything.
