Sorry, but the "original kneeler" as you put was protesting about black people being shot to death by policemen, so it has EVERYTHING to do with color... Also I don't think an employer can take away someone's constitutional rights, period. I think that Kapaernick has a valid pont. Stand and respect the National anthem or the flag, or whatever, IF IT DESERVES RESPECT. The way things are right now what is there to rspect? It's just like the Presidency. You should respect that, but if the holder of the office doesn't respect it, then why should I/we? quote:

ORIGINAL: captive4ever Dictating how their people can act, protest or otherwise... reminds me of why we had a civil war... And someone, please, tell me how taking a knee during the national anthem is disrespecting anything. I read an interesting comparison between Kapaernick and Tebow and what the differences are between one kneeling and the other, and why one is OK and the other is not. A lot has to do with color... sorry---little or nothing to do with color and its a part of the conditions of employment. when the heavily expected and historical convention is to stand, and the standing is done as a show of respect, then kneeling runs contrary to it. that is especially so when the original "kneeler" makes statements somewhat to that affect.
