Yesterday I created an e-mail using the "Send Photos" option in a user's small profile

I selected "Send".

The result was that I was logged out AND when I checked back in, my message had not been sent (according to my "Sent Mail" folder).

I was able to recover the text of the message (copied to clipboard), went back, repeated the process, results were the same.

I then entered the message into the "Quick Note" box, complete with paragraphs, carriage returns etc.

Results: the message had indeed been sent but the carriage returns were deleted, leaving me with one paragraph (this is normal for the "Quick Note" box).

After that I was able to go to my "Sent Mail" folder, edit the message, select "Modify" and the message was what it should be.

What troubles me the most is being logged-out when sending.

This is just a report. I expect nothing to change.

Sincerely,

Lawrence

For the longest time my messages were SPLICED, for want of a better word, paragraphs chopped and joined back together in weird places, every time I mentioned the word "medieval" (had been in reinactment groups in the past and we were talking about hobbies). I wonder if this word contains something the site interprets as code...?

Other members have been experiencing some freaky things on here. The site is obviously plagued by gremlins.

Welcome to collarspace.

Thank you, WaywardSoul :)

I have had a profile here since 2004, and yours was the very first personal greeting I recall anyone having sent !

Thank you again :)

Sincerely,

Lawrence

Yeah, my girlfriend has the same problem when she responds from her inbox. Myself, I have never been able to initiate a message of any sort, I can only reply. When I try to send a original message (not a reply), it just vanishes. I don't get logged out, it just vanishes.

As WaywardSoul said: Welcome to Collarspace.

Yeah, I am now having the same issue, but the Quick Note work around doesn't work for me.

When reading a new mail, clicked on pink screen name link, the correct profile appeared, however the banner at the top of the page that reads: "The Largest BDSM Community on the Planet" displayed some other screen name than mine. Different name showed up from each different email screen name, all male subscriber names. I Googled each of the screen names that was not mine. All had several hits. One linked to a you tube obituary for he individual.

I think the site is doing a bit of an attempt at security by simply removing keywords that are used in javascript, so nobody can paste in a script and have it execute. The 2 magic words are: script and eval.

So if you ever see someone talking about deion it was probably "description" originally. Same for Medieval. Ho hum.

EXACT same thing happened to me too. Started happening last night, October 24 in the evening - tried to contact support too, but I do not believe those emails are getting thru, either.

Interestingly .... I have been using the CHROME browser. That is the browser I was using when I first encountered this issue.

Out of the blue, I decided to try sending email using the MS EDGE browser .... then the mail functions work fine

Tried CHROME again, and mail did not work.

SO all I can share is Use the Microsoft EDGE browser if you want to send mail ...

Good luck

After I discovered the send function worked with Microsoft Edge; but not Chrome, I decided to try one more thing. I created a new Profile with the same User Name, just appended a 1 to it.

Once the profile was created, I could send email using Chrome from the new account.

So my guess is that You and I have older Profiles and some outdated software was used to create them.

Chrome doesn't support that software anymore ... but Microsoft Edge does ...

likely because this site was originally written using old Microsoft coding tools.

Enjoy.

Hoping someone who supports this site reads these messages and fixes the issue --- or else provides direction on how we should proceed.

You can use 200 point text if you like, nothing is likely going to be done about it.

Thanks for those details. I thought I was going crazy, LOL.
