California Gov. Jerry Brown signed legislation reducing it from being a felony to a misdemeanor.

I personally think this is a good thing, especially in the BDSM community. By nature, BDSM is sexual, and someone shouldn't go to jail if he/she knowingly gives another person AIDs. AIDs is now treatable and it's no big deal. It's just like genital herpes - treatable and no big deal. This new legislation will come as a big relief for people in the BDSM community.

I think it is more of a relief for the LGBQT community than the BDSM community.

Spoken like someone who doesn't give a shit about his partner's health and should be avoided at all costs. At least you had the decency to out yourself to any potential partners with this.

For the sake of posterity, in case you flounce:

Yeah, no. Not even remotely.

Knowingly infecting anybody with something that can be treated but not cured is something where the person doing it should be taken out and get a rather physical lesson, and even if it is treatable, nobody who remotely has a conscience would ever do that.

It's the people of California who are approving this bill.
It's for the best.
It's not like I'm the only one approving of it.

So? People vote for stupid shit that is against the interest of the greater good all the time. Look at the last Presidential election.

It's only "for the best" for people who don't want to take responsibility for their actions and don't give a shit about anyone else.

No doubt. There are scumbags everywhere. Do you have HIV or AIDS by any chance?

AIDS is not fucking treatable! There is still no known cure for it!

Please volunteer yourself to get Aids.

I can't stand this bullshit about Aids being treatable so it's okay to spread Aids around bullshits.

Since when have they found a cure for Aids?

There is no cure for HIV and AIDS yet

You don't know what you are talking about. So far President Trump is faaar better than Obama.

It's only "for the best" for people who don't want to take responsibility for their actions and don't give a shit about anyone else.
This legislation isn't about people who don't want to take responsibilities for their actions who have AIDS, but rather, it's about people who don't want to take responsibilities for their actions who have sex without protection. If a guy goes to a gay bar, pulls his pants down and bends over and spreads his cheeks and says, "Anyone do me." So 10 guys fuck him in the ass and he now has AIDS. It's the guy who has sex without protection who is at fault.

No doubt. There are scumbags everywhere. Do you have HIV or AIDS by any chance?
No, I don't have AIDS. Are you a scumbag? Do you have AIDS?

Most people who do not receive treatment for HIV will eventually (over years) become ill and die of complications of HIV infection. With effective treatment (called antiretroviral therapy), though, most people with HIV infection will lead long and healthy lives; this is especially true if they start HIV treatment when their immune system is still relatively strong.

But why the fuck would you want to infect people with a disease where they got to live their fucking life surviving on medication? Do you know how miserable that is? On top of that, spend their hard earn money on UNNECESSARY medication IF only some idiot didn't give them HIV or AIDS

People who intentionally spread HIV or AIDS deserve a death sentence IMO.

No, the BDSM community should be very worried.

Why would you want to infect someone with genital herpes? Or any other 100's of STD's? Many STD's aren't curable and you have to take meds.
Is there any law to punish stupid people who have sex without protection?

HERE is another food for thought! Do you know what I rather do with 300k than waste it on fucking medication for HIV! How many people can actually afford to have HIV?

Are you fucking stupid? Did you even read the law? They are even reducing punishment for people who INTENTIONALLY spread HIV through Blood Donation!

And people who INTENTIONALLY spread HIV USES a condom INTENTIONALLY with a HOLE in it! To SPREAD HIV.

Read and educate yourself: http://www.news.com.au/lifestyle/relationships/dating/hairdresser-taunted-men-he-infected-with-hiv-during-cynical-campaign/news-story/9f3f315d65dce805aa7024a407760b49

I am seriously annoyed at folks like you advocating basically murder!

PS: I am all for prosecuting people who are spreading ALL STDs INTENTIONALLY.

11 million men in the US are infected by HPV now from giving women oral sex! Do you know that is another STD with no fucking cure? If someone is intentionally spreading HPV, not informing her partner. It's death sentence! HPV leads to throat cancer!

(CNN)In 2016, Americans were infected with more than 2 million new cases of gonorrhea, syphilis and chlamydia, the highest number of these sexually transmitted diseases ever reported, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Tuesday.

Only those three STDs and HIV are required by law to be reported to the CDC by physicians. When you include herpes and more of the dozens of diseases which can be transmitted sexually but which are not tracked, the CDC estimates there are more than 20 million new cases of STDs in the United States each year. At least half occur in young people ages 15 to 24.

"STDs are out of control with enormous health implications for Americans," said David Harvey, executive director of the National Coalition of STD Directors. The coalition represents state, local and territorial health departments who focus on preventing STDs.
"If not treated, gonorrhea, chlamydia and syphilis can have serious consequences, such as infertility, neurological issues, and an increased risk for HIV," said Harvey.

You can't punish people who have sex without protection idiot, or we will never have natural babies!

I just have zero respect for you as a human being promoting spreading of HIV as a joyful event.

When two people marry and decide to have babies, they should both take blood tests. Otherwise they are idiots. Of course if two people want children they wouldn't use protection. If you are advocating that when two people
decide to have sex they shouldn't have blood tests taken, then you are an idiot.

I have zero respect for you as a human being if you are advocating that people shouldn't need to use protection when having sex.
