When I was a young girl, I had a MASSIVE, MASSIVE crush, on a very, very, very, cute young white man.

His name was David Cassidy.

Daily Mail- David Cassidy teen heart throb dies

My only issue with this article is it states David was a teen heart throb, but he was a heart throb for younger girls also.
I watched this show in elementary school, and was too young to go to concerts, but not too young to have a crush.

*How did I have a crush at such a young age?*

I watched The Partridge Family weekly, it was one of my favorite shows.

I had the posters of him, and I used to often go to bed looking at his pictures.
I got that damn Partridge Family album for Christmas, and I still have it.

Though, I had a crush on Jermaine Jackson/Jackson 5, and a few other artists, David was it for me.

Thank you for the memories David, I still rarely see anyone cuter than you were.

Its not just David I miss, it's an era that no longer exists, that many of us hold dear in our hearts.
{What is it about the long hair, that made so many men in that era attractive?}

David certainly had his "demons" for years, and it appears he engaged in self-destructive behaviors.
Girls were going crazy over him at his concerts, and a young girl was killed during a concert in London.
He stopped touring, and I think that he was never the same after that.

RIP David
Thank you for the memories, the dreams, and for being so damn cute.

Life was so much simpler, before cable, computers, the internet and mobile cell phones.
I bet you had long hair.
;)

Being in 'the biz' as I was, I remember the story of D Cassidy wanting to re-up his contract when he was 16-17.
\
Record company: "But you aren't of legal age!"

D Cassidy: "I've been under contract for 3 years."

"So we are paying you what we said we would when you were 14"

D Cassidy; 'See you guys later."

"NO! Wait!"

LOL.

So, why is this?

Why were you pulling your hair out for David Cassady, and I was banging my head on the floor for Ronnie Spector (The Ronettes) or Mary Wilson (the Supremes) when I was 6 yrs. old?

It's not easy figuring out why you/we were acting so wacky even 5-6 yrs. before puberty.

I'm surprised David Cassidy got a thread here, but Malcolm Young didn't, with the amount of metalheads on this forum...

People post about whomever they want on here.
Millions of people, watched the Partridge Family for 4 years on prime time t.v.
Millions and millions of young girls/and women had a crush on David Cassidy.

I did not have a crush on Malcolm Young, but I crushed on David Cassidy from 8-12.
Hell, I crushed longer than that!
I still enjoy looking at his old photos.

For me, its not just the fact that David Cassidy has died.
For MANY people, it brings back an era that no longer exists.
The music, the t.v. shows, the 70s.

Never heard of him.

Played the role of Kieth Partridge of the Partridge Family musical sitcom and was a major teen heartthrob in the 70's.

Obviously misplayed his hand as he did almost nothing since.
