"I Please Me and nothing else is of importance." The masses have democratized elitism in this industrialized world.
Now everybody can be a snob. So overrate thyself to lifes content.
Perfectionalists stride through life with a self confidence
built on an amazing overestimation of their own abilities.
Settle into an old age made comfortable by the warm glow of
self-satisfaction because no one else will be able to stand the snob.
They have constructed a life that "validates" Them at every turn
even if the validations come from with in and adds to the elitism.
Communications technology has expanded the nonconformist groups
space watering down the societys within the societys to bland cliques.
Hence democratizes those around reaffirms their values and reinforces
the sense of their own rightness. It is possible, maybe even
inevitable, that they will slide into a solipsism that allows them
precious little contact with people totally unlike themselfs.
But in their enclosed sphere they will feel very important from self
valadation. Grandiosity is in unlimited supply; they can all feel
tremendously significant motivated primarily by a desire for
recognition even if it is only done by Thier self hence the elitism.
In some ways the health of a non conformist society can be measured
by how many avenues to self-importance and perfectionism is seen in
the actions of the snobs with in the culture. In America for example
most Americans are very impressed with their selfs and are the elitist
in superiority complexes.A nation in which almost everybody is above
average, or so they think. American elitists are convinced that they
are running their own lives quite well, whereas the idiots around
are screwing up theirs. I think that George Carlin says it best,
many people bring with them onto the highway of life their elitists
personalities stating: I drive responsibly, but people who drive
faster than I do are absolute maniacs, and people who drive slower
then me are total idiots. Hence again the snobbish attitude that I am
better then everybody else and above all. Still, this pluralism does
have its downsides. First, it can't be good that most Americans have
entered their own little worlds of self-validation and know very
little about their countrymen outside and this is where democratized
elitism is at its sad worse. They feel good about the code of honor
in their little social set, even if that set amounts to just one
superior complex person. It leads to national stagnation of all these
singular persons whom sum how feel superior even when their total value
are summed up by the mathamatical quotation of one. The great radicals
all felt in some way frustrated; they felt that society was blocking
their expectations and must be fundamentally questioned with out ever
questioning that it was they them selfs that was on the outside of the
bubble. A recipe for moral mediocrity we will all live in harmony even
if they have to live it superiorly elitly singular. I am unique in that
I try to break thru My complexities by being nice and a part, in other
words, if everybody spent some time playing sociologist, and learned about the strangers on the other end of the watered down lines who are our fellow citizens even if they are not perfect. It is delicious for sum
to feel oneself the Lord High Achiever of one's own little community.
So perhaps it is inevitable that they will just sit back and acknowledge
the continued segmentation of their little peon societies. In which case
I propose a new place be constructed: a huge circular structure, with
gleaming marble on the outside and magnifying mirrors covering the
walls within. The snob could walk in and admire reflections of their
self from all angles. And when they reached the center, a great neon
sign would flash on, broadcasting to them the credo of thier elitist
exsistance: "I Please Me and nothing else is of importance."
I hope My words were phonically correct and spelling perfect with gramatical sentances set to even sooth the most snootie singular
elitists with in this secular constricting group. LOL! I think My non
conformist unique self will be of better use and appreciation
elsewhere now that this place is well on its way. For those with in
whom appreciated diversity in its simple leval cudos go out to you.
The rest havent a clue.
