ORIGINAL: ownedandcollared When you are talking to Him/Her, do you ever refer to them by their name? Does that just FEEL wrong to you, or are you comfy with it? When He and i had first met it was with the intent to determine whether we would be a 'good match' as Owner and slave. For that reason, i was not comfortable with calling Him by name, yet was not immediately certain that He should be called Master. Referring to Him as Master is reserved for His ears only. When i speak 'of Him' when speaking with others, i use His given name. He is more than just 'His given name' to me, and is worthy of a more respectful and distinctive title, and one which is reserved for Him only. His given name is far too common a title, coming from me. Calling Him by His given name, when speaking with Him, feels unnatural and forced and anything but comfortable for me. i figured out quickly enough, a few methods for addressing Him and calling upon His attention when i needed to speak with Him (without calling Him by either). There was one time when He was in another room and i needed His attention immediately and could not join Him in that room. i called out to Him by His given name. That was all He needed to hear in order to understand that something of an 'emergency type level' was happening. Just yesterday, Master and i were at a function which required Him to have His back to me during most of the event. We were in the middle of a very large and extremely noisy group of people. There was something which i needed to bring to His attention. As it was not an emergency, i didn't feel that it would be appropriate to call Him by His given name. So i took a deep breath and screamed out a very loud, "HELLOOOOOOO?!!!!!??!". Worked wonders. i was successful in alerting Him without giving the impression of 'possible emergency' status.
