Again, you are misinformed.  There is A Latino Music Awards, usually held in Rio De Janiero, but it has also been held in Mexico City, as well as San Juan, Cuba. 

I live in south Florida... we have 4 (count em... uno, dos, tres, cuatro) thats right, four channels through Brighthouse cable that are "other than English speaking" channels.  Three are spanish/latino, due to the consensus of folks living/migrating to Florida, and one is a learning channel, where several languages are spoken, including italian, german, and portuguese.

Oh, and to touch on the question of the Black Miss America contest, yet not one for other nationalities... Darlin, darlin, darlin.... answer me this one question, first... how many anglo saxon white american women have won the Miss Universe Pageant?  (enough said.)

You said all fat people should stop posting and go to McDonalds. That is one of the most offensive things I have seen leveled at fat people on this board, at least in the top 10. For some reason people think it is ok to attack people that are obese, and that includes the OP, whom I have seen do it over and over again. The threads that she started that were majorly snide and snarky about fat people have been scrubbed by the mods. I went to look them up to quote on this thread, all were gone, because she is that ugly toward people.

Personally I think you and the OP should get together... you seem made for each other, both have phobias of fat people...


I didn't see that thread, but ...can I go eat BBQ instead?  I have to go with to McDonalds enough for the grandkids, lol.

Status: offline 		I grew up skinny too. I was 6'0" in the sixth grade.I think I weighed 120lbs.
I grew up in a working class neighborhood in the Boston, Mass area and most of the other kids were skinny too from walking everywhere and probably not getting enough to eat in those days.
Also, we didn't sit around at computers or play video games after school.
It'd be more like swinging off a "Tarzan" swing that we made with a long piece of heavy rope that someone "found" or running from the cops.
I couldn't put on any weight to save my life. Lifted weights, played sports all of that stuff.
And yes I'd be called "Stringbean", "Pole Boy", "Rail Rump" and all the other things that they call skinny people.
I never really filled out until I got into the Navy and got "three hots" evey day.
In my graduating class(1969) of 1,900 kids maybe three were overweight.
Look at all the shit that the tabloids put that actress Calista Flockhart through a few years back.
They were saying she had everything from Anerexia to Aids.
But, they'd of course never say that that talk show host Opy? "OP" something or other ate too many pizzas or something like that!
So yes, there is a double standard!

If you are referring to Orprah, where the heck were you when all the tabloids and tv bashed her for gaining any weight?  How about when Janet Jackson gained weight, or Kirstie Alley???  These people are all in the spotlight, if they lose too much, or gain a pound or two, someone, somewhere grabs a camera and writes a story.  I don't think it's fair to do it to either side.  They are adults, if they eat too little, or eat too much.. whatever, it doesn't matter, they can make their own choices.  If Calista is anorexic, then she is.. she is a big girl and has the money and resources to get help.  If Oprah gains it, she has the same things to help. 
 
There will always be double standards, those that base things on looks, or race, whatever, it's existed since the beginning of time and will go on.  Some thread on a message board, is not going to change a damn thing one way or another. 
 
I don't personally give a crap what anyone looks like, their race, their religion, I care more about their intelligence and open mind, rather than what they had for breakfast, didn't have for breakfast, or threw up after breakfast.  To each their own though.

Status: offline 		I think the points everyone has made are all valid as they lend first-hand perspective. All I know is how I personally have been treated in my lifetime.
 
I am small breasted and thin- I am NOT a model- I get very annoyed that all models are so fucking perfect too! 
Women especially are very uppity if they have huge tits.  They seem to think it means they are better than everyone else, just like men with their cocks. Who said those skinny bitches get breast reductions?  Those are implants, people.  Thin people RARELY have 44-D breasts.
 
It is assumed that if you are fat, you are lazy and eat too much and if you're skinny, you have an eating disorder. 
 
It seems to me that the "robust" folks here on the boards get a lot more acceptance and sympathy than those who are small.

I had to reread the entire thread twice, and I still do not understand where you are coming from?  Where do you get the idea anyone was flaming anyone?  Where do you get the idea that ModEleven is giving unfair treatment?  Where do you think it is necessary that they intervene?  And why are you attacking them and their moderation style?  I have never seen ModEleven be unfair?
