Steve decided to see if I could lactate and within no time at all I was producing milk. We continued for a few weeks but soon noticed that I lost all interest in sex and started to get quite grumpy (moody just doesn't seem right under the circumstances). We started to research and see if there could be a connection and discovered that when women lactate they often produce more prolactin levels and decrease dopamine levels. I stopped pretty quickly and was back to normal in no time but there was a definite link between loosing my libido and mood swings and lactating.

Did you use pills, herbs, pump..or a combination to help you lactate? Had you been pregnant before? I have understood if you haven't been, it probably won't work, but wasn't sure. Not sure I want my libido to go bye, bye though[&:]

i was born with xy chromosomes and after a couple years of HRT i got curious as to whether lactation was possible for someone like myself. After a month of double pumpimg, let down massages, and moderate doses of a lactation inducing drug (now banned in the U.S.) i was out on the porch doing my let down massages when a stream of milk squirted out four feet... i was absolutely giddy...dancing in circles, but, as MistressChianti said, it is very time consuming so maintaining production was not an option. It was a most wonderful experience though and would do it again without a second thought for the right person.

Yes I have had children in the past and I did breast feed, so I suppose that made a difference. One of the things I did notice happening was my hair shone and my skin bloomed but that really didn't make up for the mood swings. Saying that, I had no mood swings when I breast fed but I remember my libido being pretty low. We are really glad we tried it but its not something I would be prepared to do for long.
