nightrosemom -> wedding rings (11/6/2006 10:53:14 AM)

OK, i know this post has been here before, but i cant seem to find it.  W/we are looking for wedding rings that are lifestyle related, neither of us really want a traditional vanilla wedding band, for we are not in a traditional vanilla relationship. any ideas on where i can find this???

we dont necessarily want the BDSM emblem either

http://www.ringsforever.com/  do a lot of custom work.  If you have somethng specific in mind, go look at the kinds of things they've done in the past and perhaps you can design your own.

I've been wearing a band of theirs about 5 years now and I love it.

Pandora and Pendragon have been vending in the fetish arena for a long time, however, both of them are master jewelers and have access to an amazing array of precious metals and gemstones.  The fetish section is not the only offerings they have -- as they do a great deal of custom work and also handle estate jewelry.

I have two favorite ring makers. One is a close friend who has been making these beautiful knotted rings for years. Loren's site is www.golden-knots.com and the other current favorite is http://wood-rings.com

WOW....Loren made Master Archer's wedding ring. We looked for months for a jewler who would make a turkshead ring that we liked. The actual ring that Loren made for Master Archer is the one pictured on Loren's hand at http://www.golden-knots.com/hand5x11.html

For those who want to do something really special, Loren teaches turkshead ring tying at various workshops around the country. Information is on his website.

Have you considered celtic rings?  My husband and I did not want traditional rings either and found these.  They come in all kinds and are absolutely beautiful.

nightrosemom -> RE: wedding rings (1/1/2007 11:27:07 PM)

*smiles* i didnt even know this post was still on here! *giggles* i LOVE the last website posted, i am going to show it to Master tomarrow....

as far as celtic rings, we have looked at them somewhat, maybe we will look into them more.

i think the hardest thing for me, is saying "ill settle for this cause its inexensive and i want a ring" Master doesnt want me to settle.

thanks for all the help, more ideas will be appreciated!

There is one design that uses a jewelry grade silver collar that uses a mag lock to close it, and the key is in the form of a wearable ring.  It's spendy, but very clever.  I'd be worried I'd bend the collar however, but maybe it's stronger than I imagine.

nightrosemom -> RE: wedding rings (1/2/2007 7:59:31 PM)

well if it is spendy, then it wont work lol we are on a tight budget for our wedding in order to save for our honeymoon!!!

TxBlkMistress -> RE: wedding rings (1/2/2007 8:19:23 PM)
