Hey guys, girls, its, et al. I'm in the market for a camera, and am curious what you all recommend. The main purpose is a still camera, but if it did decent video, it wouldn't be looked down at. I would prefer a hand zoom, opposed to an auto zoom feature (unless it actually works). Digitial or CD would be prefered. I'd like to stay within a budge of about 300 dollars. Suggestions? comments? recommendations? Appricate your time and responses greatly.

I was given aa Olympus C-740. I am very pleased with it, but it does have the auto zoom... It does take movies but I have never tried that, because I do own a movie camera as well. The camera cost around $350 at Bestbuy last summer. Good luck!
