Status: offline 		Fullcircle..................good answers but not what I was looking for...........I was thinking that we start off as humans, become apes about the teen years, move on to guinea pigs as we start needing medicine and end up as fruit bats...................but that's not the answer either lol...........
Any more ideas???

Status: offline 		No, it's Vitamin C! None of those mammals can synthesize their own! IIRC, they all have to either seek out supplementary sources or rely on their body to reconvert oxidized Vitamin C back into ascorbic acid. I believe they all have much lower Vitamin C requirements than other mammals, as well.

Damn, that was a good one! I hope you play this more often.

Status: offline 		No, I'm pretty sure that was the answer. I googled it last night, and I'm petty certain that was it.

OK, then, here's one for the history geeks. Let's try these four.

Georgia
Virginia
North Carolina
South Carolina

These four states have a number of things in common, but as far as the category I have in mind is concerned, these are (technically) the only four states that have that in common. It's not going to be the first answer that comes too mind, it's not going to be the second answer that comes to mind. It's probably not going to be the third answer. It's going to be a little complex.

But no, that's not it. You're definitely barking up the right tree, but the commonality is entirely historical, not geographical. Don't give up, you're closer than you may think.

Don't feel badly, he does it pretty much better than anybody. Me included, obviously.

Yours is a pretty damned good guess, too, but no. That's not it. Another one that hadn't occurred to me, though. I'm learning more from this thread than I expected!
