Walking through the woods one day, enjoying a day most fair,
I came upon a quiet glade, and was amazed at what was there.
A faerie lass, not but mere stones high, sitting quite alone,
I knew her to be fae for her hair was the color of ruby stone.
Her skin was pale as honeyed cream, and as she stood to sing,
It began to shimmer, like glitter on an Angels wing.
Her voice spun a haunting melody, of lost love and it's pain,
And though it had no words, I understood it just the same.
I meant to sit and watch her, I had been still thus far,
Then did I notice my feet for the traitors that they are.
Closer to here did I move, upon her did I creep,
And as I came upon her, My Angel began to weep.
I knew her not, she should have ran, but I wrapped my arms around,
And My Angel turned into my shoulder, weeping without a sound.
I sat down on that very stump, and pulled her onto my knee...
And from then untill this very day, My Angel lives with me.
