Status: offline 		I find it offensively hypocritical that Collarme.com disallows financial fetishes from being referred to on a site that purports to be BDSM in nature.

As a lifestyle Domme and Financial Sadist, with a bevy of souls whose fetish is serving me financially, I ask you, what difference is there between a whip and a checking account number?

The premise may be different, but the philosophy is the same.  In my opinion, at least.

Status: offline 		The difference is obvious... cash.  Beyond the usual legal minefield inherent to BDSM, once there is a monetary exchange the issue of prostitution becomes salient.  And while you and I may understand and appreciate the difference, the legal system does not.

There's a very decent thread about financial domination in the "Ask a Mistress" section - check it out.  You will get a lot of good input, etc.

I think the fetish is given a tough shake because there are way too many women that demand cash straight across for correspondence (and then vanish) or demand tributes for photos, etc. -- never intending to send any.  That gets lumped into the category of "financial domination" when really they are "scam artists"  - pure and simple.

It would be interesting if you had your money slaves create accounts here and come on and share how they get aroused by their fetish (so people can see there IS a demand for this), how they screen their partners (as to not get ripped off), some of the pitfalls, etc.

Sadly, we do NOT get many level headed, educated types on here (subs) talking about their fetish to give money away and how they do it.  If more men came on here and talked about their fetish, it would legitimize the femdoms that cater to it. I know these men exist (in the other thread, I pointed out why I don't indulge them).  However, they don't seem to post here.

Why not point a few this way?

Well, I suspect (although, I certainly can't speak for CM) that it has to do with the fact that the folks that own/run/believe in CM think that those who seek to use subs or other BDSM folks as a virtual ATM, are effectively human sewage and don't deserve the right of passage that includes an opportunity to spew their unadulterated garbage to those who are here to enjoy their time, meet enjoyable people and possibly connect over time...........could encompasse the totality of it.

(But then again, that's just my take on things.  I could be wrong).

Myself I don't care, if people are stupid enough to pay let them waste their money however if others have said, those that run the site make the rules, they have no need to answer to your questions of *why* or to justify themselves to you, if you don't like it theres a door just down the hall.

Status: offline 		I do appreciate your point of view.  After realizing that I enjoyed receiving gifts, and that subs enjoyed giving them, I discovered another aspect to the multi-dimensional world of BDSM. 

These subs not only enjoyed gifting, but I began controlling their bank accounts as well.  At first I was very leary, but it became so satisfying for all parties that I deemed it yet another fetish in a world that seems to be developing fetishes, sub-fetishes -  like religion and it's many branches.

I guess I was just thrown aback by the hypocrisy of  this site discriminating against what is decidely a genuine fetish.  I find it a shame that sincere and responsible domination in whatever form could be tisked at.

I thought that's why the folks into BDSM had a community - to accept each other.

Status: offline 		Yanno, some like it, some don't.  Kinda like many other controversial fetishes, such as scat, rape play, and non-consentually fucking spaghetti.

The big difference is, I would suspect, a liability issue, and I'm sure someone who knows their ass from a whole in the ground (unlike me) will correct me.

CM can probably avoid a whole slew of fraud etc claims by just officially disallowing anything where people take money for "nothing." (Even if gratification is something, it prolly wouldn't hold up in court.)

Financial slavery and the likes, from my understanding, also often involve consentual blackmail, consentual extortion and similar things.  While perfectly okay in the kink world, it's treading a fine line legally.

I would stay away from that shit, too.

We have no community, all we have is a bunch of people with loosely related interests.

I *just* read through that very thread!  And thank you for responding with such insightful philosophies and great suggestions.

I have one sub in particular who I think would shed alot of light upon the subject here.  Because you're decidely correct - sometimes general acceptance means coming out and saying "I like this."  It makes it okay for others to like it.

Prostitution is to offer payment for sexual intercourse, financial slavery is giving money because they want to show how committed they are to you.

I personally don’t see a problem with this, if someone wants to show me how submissive they are by sending me money carry on, I wont stop them, well maybe just to count each note or kiss each note.  Just being honest.

I read CollarMe’s blurb and can see why they have made an issue with financial slavery. 

Maybe they kept the financial slavery out as to keep the pro dommes out?  An online fetish site for those of us who play for fun not payment? (All donations greatly received  ) No idea Decadent Goddess that was just a thought, then again this is a free site and a very good one. 

There are not many (if there are any) bdsm related sites out there that are free to join and dont demand any payment.  I have also found this site very polite and easy to use unlike the sites that demand payment to even send messages.

I think it has to do with legality and people getting scammed of all their money by a "Domme," 16 year old kid in Vermont.
