Status: offline 		The few real life experiences I've had the aftercare needs were all very different.  Since you have actual medical concerns that need tending to I would say that those AT the very LEAST need to be tended to whether you want it or not.  I have arthritis in my knees and fingers so I do understand the pain that can come with it.   (it's also why kneeling for long periods of time are a hard limit ... LOL j/k) ... In my experiences there were times where I didn't want any aftercare at all ... I wanted to be left alone *laughs*.   Which we hadn't discussed that at all because it didn't occur to me that I would want to be left alone, so it caused some confussion which was worked out later.   But there was another time where it brought up alot of emotional crap and it took me a long time and a lot of journaling and him discussing things with me to get through it.

People laughed, but this is quite relaxing for me afterwards (to give to my Master, that is, lol). It is very soothing and intimate for me to dote on him and touch him this way.  We're touching, we're enjoying it, what more could I want?  If I've just experienced something that takes serious emotional processing, I might ask to curl up at his back as he lays resting.

In my case, yes, he makes the rules and I happily adjust to them.  It's my job to make him feel good, and I feel good as a result.
