Well I have nothing to compare, and only knowing disposables, I'd say yes. I like the crinkling sound somewhat too, but I've heard plastic panties create a similar sound.

I'm open to both or either, maybe as play or outing directs. Sleeping would probably be better in cloth diapers, if only for absorbency.

Oh and while it might exist, a good point for cloth diapers and plastic panties, is they're lockable or (able to be made lockable), while I haven't seen lockable disposables. I frankly doubt diaper companies would start making some either :P

They hold quite a bit,depending on the amount of layers and doublers you use. Pins are more secure than tapes-and can be easily readjusted. A layer of thin polar fleece will allow moisture to pass through,but keeps it away from the skin better than just plain cloth-also feels softer.

As a liner, it makes cleaning up the diaper easier too, just take it out and rinse it in the toilet. It's a synthetic, so it does not stain easily. Then there is a the bulk, a lot of my past girls really liked the feeling. They knew they could really flood those puppies, and not leak. But I sew,so once I had a girl in the basic diaper-I could always devise a panty pattern that fit well outside of the diaper edges. It's having the leg and waist bands fit too close to the wet diaper that causes most leaking. They wick through-you want them to ride a ways away.

*nods* when I had my ex GF who was a full time baby we had cloth diapers and rubber pants. ( not to mentions onsies and all the gear. ) Thank the Gods I sew. It gets expensive buying things.

I made them out of an inner liner of terry cloth, and then covered in the really soft fleece with patterns on it.

When I gave her over to her new Mommie I showed her how to sew the items.

Some people like cloth, some like the plastic.. if you are going to do long term.. cloth is the way to go. But it is much easier to get into if someone helps with the pins. *smiles*
