Even’n and greetings,

As I was perusing the most recent threads, and actually what brought it all to mind was the woman wanting to interview “Gorean Masters”.   And the link between Gor, sex, Master, slaves, and toss in free women as well.   But we all know Gorean life entails far more than slaves and free women.  And recently all the threads surround men and women.

One of the most meaningful rituals I’ve been privileged to witness were men sharing grass and earth.  Recently I spoke to a good friend about this, and what it meant to him.  We discussed the importance and the value of this rite of passage between men   How do you decide to share grass and earth?  What makes a man worthy to share grace and earth with you?   Do your expectations of that person change then?   Does it make a difference in your relationship with them?

I wish you all well,

Liz

If you trust the Man, and you have mutual respect, and share a sense of honour. Then that for me would be the time to hold "Grass and Earth" with him.

You need all, one is not enough

Here is a question, would sharing grass and earth be the same as sharing salt and bread?

From the books, it is salt, bread and fire. Those are also the things denied when someone is banned from a city. However, grass and earth is more akin to a blood brother sharing ritual than the former.

Be well....
