girl has been a kajira for over 15 years now realtime and she is seeing more and more idots out there both realtime and online and to be honest it breaks this girls heart to see this, she knows Gor isnt easy and is offen hard to understand, but thats the way it is, and see Free claim to be Gorean after maybe reading one book, reading a thread or site online and then tell kajiras to kneel before them and take steel, or for a kajira who has been cyber fucked say she is a true red silk kajira, what about all the other things of Gor that there is, the serves/dances to just sit there and listern to elders of Gor, to open our hearts and minds to what Gor truely is.
 
even in realtime she has seen and heard people do this, yes ok she knows she is a mere animal of Gor and she knows she is here at a Frees whim, and isnt here to disrespect anyone at all, she is just saying what she feels and she knows some will not agree and she respects that.
 
but come on get a frigging grip with things, ITS NOT SIMPLE!!! to be part of Gor You need to be true to Yourself and to others, there is no point lying cause you will only get found out in time then what. try and lie your way out. its NOT gonna happen. to be Gorean You need Honour truth willingness to know when you have done wrong and admit it and deal with what happens when you mess up not try and blame others be that Free or kajira,
 
tonight all she has done is cry because of idots that have got to girl and tried to distroy what she loves more than anything in the world (apart from mita Itancanka) for people to come into the world of Gor and try and break up Homes both rt and ol is a terrible thing to do. think before You start things that could do real damage to people,
 
she has the honour of knowing so real nice true Goreans both on here other sites and realtime, but she is wondering if at all it is worth all the heart ache that she has seen and been through, her heart/soul will always be kajira but some times there comes a time when enough is enough. to be honest she is torn right now as she is ill and she doesnt need the hassels of people fighting and causing problems but on the other hand she doesnt seek to pull away from Gor its her its her life.
 
maybe some wise true Goreans will be able to help advise this one at this hour of need.

  There are and will always be, strife,hardships and all around piss poor behavior in *all* lifestyles, not just Gor. There will be posers and players and those who will claim to be something they are not, if only to look good and gain respect.
It sounds to me, you indeed love this lifestyle we call Gor and I fail to understand, why you would want to leave it, rather then to work thru the bad. anything in life worth having is worth fighting for.
I can very much relate to your frustrations and maybe even anger, you have, but to let the actions and behaviors make me want to turn my back on what I love?..Heck No, wont ever ever happen.
Those who make a mockery of this lifestyle, make me want to work even that much harder to get its true beauty and standard known to others who are unaware. It makes me want to strive harder to better myself within its philos and to become a better example.
I am not perfect and would never claim to be, but living a Gorean lifestyle is what I love and will never give up on dear.
I would at this time, urge you to not let the short comings and ignorances of others, push you away from what it is you find beautiful and love.

Thank You for Your message, she agrees with what You say about loving the Gorean ways and no she doesnt really wish to leave but she is ill she has a lung diease and she is sick and tired of others getting her down, she has left for a while before but felt empty inside when she did, she just wishes to be allowed to be what she is with honour and pride not have to sit there and take their bulshit if that makes sense. maybe its just been one bad night for girl time will tell but Thank You kindly for spending the time reading girls worries and more so for answering she is truly honored

Status: offline 		I don't post much in the forums much these days, because of the idiots, seems its easier to attack what they don't understand then to learn, don;t leave a lufestyle you are happy to be in, just turn your back on the idiots, not everyone wants the hassle of being able to be truthful, honourable or anything that the Gorean lifestyle is, all they are there for and this goes for the D/s-M/s and L/s dynamics, is just sexual, pure and simple, cybersex, one offs etc etc etc, i could go on but it annoys me lol.

I just wish we could name names but we can't the bad one's names will spread because all in all some will come to you to ask what and why and who, just turn your back on them, the community as a whole, won't put up with their bullshit for long.

My most immediate response to your post was to question who gets to decide who is 'real' enough to be able to restore what ever it is you feel has been damaged.  I then began to wonder what regulations the approved 'nominating committee' would use to pass judgment upon people under consideration of  the title of 'Real Gorean'.  It seems to me that that that very concept is rather antithetical to some of the most basic premises of Gorean ethos... I would also hazard a guess that many of the most 'true' Goreans (those whose very creation was used portray the author/philosopher's ideas and ideals via his books) would take serious umbrage at anyone deciding their validity and standards of validity other than the individual man himself.  Then again, I tend to be rather leery of mechanisms of caste which set up a battle for legitimacy with titles such as 'real' or 'true', and will admit that its a personal trigger.

It had always been my perspective, when owned, that that which defined and created the dimensions and boundaries of the owned woman's world (call it Gor, if you will) was established by something absolutely (and reassuringly) concrete..your owner.   In many ways, the owned submissive has the most recognizable and readily identifiable identity constructs.  You have a person who sets your standards, your protocols and your lifestyle; your focus is him...that is your world.

It struck me, that to be so shaken by business and tribulations of others is not really something that should rock a person from their  foundation, Gorean or otherwise, and I have trouble understanding how online cat fights and forum melt-downs could have anywhere near the impact upon your identity and stability to have you weeping over what you perceive to be the destruction of your world, most especially as one who is owned.   You have your world, it is your Master... it just absolutely baffles me that anything that did not involve his destruction or downfall could have left the impression upon you that your world was coming to some sort of cataclysmic end.

I am not attempting to flame you here, and I hope you can recognize that.  I am just having a difficult time understanding what you hoped to find in this post besides some sort of catharsis by expelling histrionic emotions...and why you are seeking resolution of what seems to be such an impactive issue for you from anyone other than that which actually does, or should, set the pace, grounding and meaning in your world... your master.

If the characters in the books were all real ... Goreans would probably consider them all fakes.

i would have to agree with Mistress Ash, Master Rapture and Master Orion. i have not been coming to the Gorean board much lately for the same reasons. Until a about 4 months ago i had not been to Gorean computer sites and was very surprised and upset by many of the things i saw and heard as it in no way reflected how i had been raised and taught. Seeing slaves chastise, talk back, and being rude to Masters and Free about blew my mind. i called a Master i know who i also count as a friend and asked Him what was going on. Granted all the Goreans i knew were from back home...ie. SC, NC, Vir. Ten., and Ala. and i could not believe others could be that much different from southern Goreans. He explained that no they were not it was the players and wannabes that were acting as such and the best thing to do is if i saw those certain ones posting to just ignore them and put it down to people trying to ruin something they did not understand. Now i just see them and feel sorry that they are not open to learning a wonderful life and then forget them. Please do not leave because of those who are clueless instead just realize they are the one losing and keep your heart on what you know is right and your eyes on your Master.

There were days when Goreans spoke differently to one another online. In my opinion, they played a fantasy role in those days. There are evidences of evolution that bring us to the now. Many Goreans realized that rather than weilding mighty swords on Tarn back, they would do far more good amongst themselves by conversation and discussing life goals and life needs. The boundaries set forth by the books still paint a canvas for those conversations to be had on, but they are no longer fictitious behaviors, but realities that humans share with other humans. If I had to choose between the old fantasy world, or this evolution of ideas and application, I'd choose the now every time! I hope that in the now, you find the glory and beauty that is Gor, the Goreans who make it great and beautiful, and the peace of knowing that though all things change, we can effect our destiny by pushing ever upwards, ever forwards, towards changes that are positive for all of us. Be encouraged!

This is a most lovely and thought-provoking thread. It is always interesting to me to see how many shades of thought are behind each topic - the polarity and all the subtle shades between the two ends.

My thought is that life, and the living of it, is in a constant state of evolution. The only way I know of to affect change is to ~be~ the change you wish to see and hope others find your way attractive; otherwise, the only way to survive is to adapt oneself to the situation at hand.

Talena (and other who share her view) I am sorry you are hurting and find something lacking. I wish you well in finding your bliss.
