Greetings Master Ameirin,

I live in Florida so can not answer your question about encampments in the UK .

I was wondering though if swords are considered ancient weapons?

Does ancient mean pre-gun?

well wishes

Tal Kisshou,

Swords, and spear to some are outdated ancient weapons, but a sword is a gentlemans weapon of choice.Guns though they be terrible are impersonal, requiring little skill in their effect,I am trained in their use,but prefer not to,steel is my choice.

Greetings Master Aneirin,

that is so cool. Do you actually make swords also since you are a metal worker? I had somehow gotten the impression from things Master PhantomOp told me that Japanese sword making was steepd in secret tradition. I guess though there are all different kinds.

I know how to solder but always wished I learned how to weld. It is something I have been thinking about doing because we have this metal windmill that has come apart and needs to be welded together.

well wishes

Tal Kisshou,

I have made swords, swords suitable for people who like to re-enact ancient battles and ways of life, but now mostly make daggers and knives, some jewellery and other useful things.Current project,a Quiva,my interpretation from the description.

You are knowledgeable in the art of soldering, well done, playing with hot metal and sparks in the form of welding can be learned, mig welding being the easiest for the beginner, try an adult course or what you have there in the US,is best I can offer,or ask someone to teach you the mig,an automotive repair shop should be adequately equipped.

Tal,

Perhaps you could make a tent. Pass around this link http://www.greydragon.org/pavilions/index.html and if all the UK Goreans have a tent you could all set up together. I don't see why an encampment has to be a static thing. You could just gather with your own tents and make your own encampment.

Tal Aneirin,

Yes, there *are* a few who live by the codes, and I am hoping to arrange a summer encampment this year for UK Gorean 'lifestylers'.

I wish you well,

Asmodeus.
