I now this may sound weird, but I was wondering how subspace feels for you? I think I have experienced it but I am not sure. If you could relate your experiences it might help me understand it better. Thanks.

I've been in the life a little over two years. Due to me being a control freak over my mind and body & religiously against out of body experiences I've not reached sub space yet.
I'll watch this thread and learn right along with ya zindy,

Hello. =)

Subspace feels to me like an overwhelming rush of helplessness. Like I've been totally emptied of everything else except the surrender. Everything fades off into the background, and I'm just one trembling abject bundle of slaveyness. =)

Cheers,
Stella

Subspace is when I am able to shed all of my concerns, worries, fear, and pain - and losing that weight lets me fly. I am able to stop thinking about my body and what is around me, because I trust the one who watches over me to take over that concern. I am able to lose myself in pleasure, love, joy, and rapture without having to ~THINK~ about anything, without having to let my bodily concerns weight me down. What does it feel like? It feels like utter freedom to me. It feels like being cherished so that I slip these earthly bonds and dance unfettered.

it is an altered state of conciousness.  the first time this slave experienced it was doing "relaxation" exercises at the age of 18.  the next experience was the birth of the wee ones sans pharmaceuticals(3x).

it isn't specific to WIITWD.

subspace for me is almost like i'm being swallowed by a sense of calming peace. Depending on how deep i go, it's sometimes as if i'm floating within myself. There is no shame, no fear, no doubts, no sense of conscious thoughts. i'm overwhelmed by the ecstacy that's surrounding me, and more aware of the sensations. i can really let go and just feel the sweet surrender at the hands of my Master.

i guess in a sense, it goes beyond a power exchange. When i'm in subspace, my Master is completely in control of me and all that i experience. Stella said it best. "I'm just one trembling abject bundle of slaveyness"

Ohhh all but the flying away part sounds marvelous.

Well, what I have experienced is that after the scene about 30 minutes after I feel like I just woke up, it is hard to explain and I was wondering if this was subspace. But I have to have something done to me to keep me in that space, because if gone to long without any stimulus I come out of it. I guess my question is....is this subspace? Thanks for all the replies.

It's not always the same, but the best way I could describe it is like a black marble bouncing around an entirely black cave.

Generically it's an altered state of consciousness experienced by the bottom/sub/slave, usually associated with high sense of euphoria

Sounds like it's at least one of the ways in which you experience it.  It's like an orgasm- it's different for everyone and one person can experience it in a variety of ways.

And many people don't or hardly ever go into subspace.

It's not something I'd worry or focus on much.

Mine always seems like an intoxication, and usually a state of not knowing of what is going on around me.

For me it's an utter sense of relaxation.  Sometimes my limbs feel weighted down...like it would take a great effort for me to move.  Others, it's that 'floaty' feeling.  In both, I'm aware (at least on a larger scale) of what's happening around me (movement, sounds), but details become obscured--and sometimes it takes a moment for even the larger scaled ones to register and process.  I don't usually desire anyone to touch or speak to me aside from Loraith.  The length varies from scene to scene, and I don't always reach it.

It's very...liberating?

Edited to add:  Another word that came to mind:  Intimate.  For me, subspace is a very intimate experience.

For me it is like my mind floats off. The first time I ever experienced anything like it was years ago letting myself, not so much escape, but blends with the energy at rave clubs. That may sound strange but between the flow coming from the music, the vibes coming from soo many people, it was easy to just to release. There was very little effort required for that float.

Subspace is much the same way. The energy transfer is the key to the release for me. I truly feel a peace, and a unity for that time. If any of that makes sense.

love and light

For me i feel like i'm floating. Like His energy and mine have become one and i am immersed in it. i am aware only of Him. i feel fuzzy but there is also an alertness to His presence, the feel of his breath and sound of his voice...everything is very accute.

Well, I think I have a better understanding of it and I think that is probably what I have been experiencing. Thanks for all the help and links. I noticed that some of the things I have read are similar to what I experience. Thank you all.

For me it a floaty feeling, very intoxicating, and if i go deep enough i am shaky from it. Like ObsidiansNamaste, i feel the accutness to Master above all else. Once i felt shot out of a canon for a moment... i think anything that makes you feel as if you had to "come back to reality" indicates another realm.

I've been there before.  It's very peaceful, a little dizzying, almost like a drug, or like being drunk.  You just wanna keep your eyes closed and rest.  You get cold a lot quicker, I know that.  It just seems like everythings so far away and your in your own little world.  Sometimes feels like your floating... or levitating, or something...
