Having lost both her parents in the past 6 months, debra can certainly empathize with you. They also were married 53 years. Please know that debra's heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with you and your family through this hard journey and debra prays that your mother will be there to celebrate a 54th and 55th anniversary with your father and as many more as the Lord allows.

Greetings..

My heart goes out to you and yours allyC during this time in life. I lost my mother 5yrs ago to liver cancer and I can't think of anything else in my life to date that has been more difficult to cope with. Your in my prayers lady.

Status: offline 		Thank you to everyone for your responses and more importantly for your thoughts and prayers.

I will be flying out to Michigan soon to spend time with my mom and dad. By then we will know exactly what she is facing and the choices she has made with regards to treatment and everything else. Being so far away from her is agonizing and just knowing that I will be there with her soon is helping me to stay positive and focused.

Much, MUCH love to all of you and I am truly so very grateful for the kind messages.

Status: offline 		ally I saw this post go by in the scroll and wanted to add my prayers for your mum. I was told by doctors just before my 40th birthday that I had a malignant tumour in my liver and like your mum had to undergo a biopsy and a myriad of other tests and finally major surgery to remove what thankfully was eventually found to be a benign tumour. I was given the all clear two weeks after the surgery but this was almost six months after initially being told it was malignant.

Unfortunately a number of the tests aren't pleasant but I am sure your mum will benefit (as I did) from the love and support shown by family and friends.

For the liver biopsy I found it helpful to do a self-hypnosis where each count let me sink deeper into a state of relaxation to the count of ten. It didn't take the pain away but with that and me griping the nurses hand VERY tightly I got through

Wishing you all the best and my prayers go out to you and your family for strength and guidance in these darker hours in life. Remember, there is and always will be the light at the end and beyond the darkness. I just lost my father in march, he has been struggling with major issues since a week before last Thanks Giving and we had finally thought he had come thru it all with flying clors and had just been released home from the hospital and a recovery center..as he lost his leg due to blood clots and infection. His spirits were high and he was doing so well.
After being home a week, he was rushed back to the hospital with a kidney infection...the unexpected happened and he passed on...we, including the Doctor and nurses did not expect it at all. I went to Iowa for a week for his funeral and was in a total blurr thru it all, I still am struggling at times, but the support of my family friends and Heavenly Father is getting me through.
Please know, again you have my thoughts and prayers and any support you may feel I can offer you, do not hesitate for a second to come to me with.

This past Sunday, May 23rd, Senor Jaime placed his collar around my neck in a small public ceremony in his home.  We were surrounded by friends and asked them to support us as we enter this new phase.  Master spoke of his expectations both for me and for himself.  I shared with his guests that my purpose was to give him unconditional love.  Later that evening, Master said that he hadn't seen me this happy in ages.

I'm still bouncing.

This is the last time I'll ever post under this profile. My new profile "Ishtarr" (which is my real name, minus the extra "r") isn't up yet and probably wont be for a while.
"ishy" is the name Bull gave me as a slave, and seeing that I'm no longer with him, and no longer a slave (and probably wont be ever again) it doesn't feel right to continue posting under that name, even though I hate to do the "profile-flip" thing.

I'll probably stick around the boards, though I'm not sure yet. I'm in a pretty dark place right now, and on top of that I have a really heavy load of college classes to focus on this summer, which will probably eat up most of my time.

I just wanted to let you all know, to avoid future confusion because of the new name on the board.
