I've cried from physical pain, I've dissolved in tears as an emotional catharsis and I've cried from emotional pain. As to know which is which, if he isn't absolutely positive he asks me.

Aye, sometimes they cry, but you know, they do other things that are even stranger.

What would that be Lordandmaster?

beltainefaerie -> RE: Crying (4/3/2007 12:49:52 AM)

I cry far more in response to emotional things than to the pain.  I often cry when I am being whipped or somesuch, but it has more to do with the walls being broken down within me than the sensations.  The first time I cried with my Master was when I realized that our contract and the careful agreements with my husband meant nothing, because I would do anything He asked.  I felt like the wholeness of my submission somehow betrayed something, which of course, being a sadist, my Master loved. (Of course my husband, when I confessed these felings just said, "I knew you would submit that way. Why do you think I chose your partners so carefully?")  It is interesting how we respond to things.

Okay my question is: does anyone else end up crying during a session when being whipped?
most of the time i do not cry when being whipped, flogged, spanked, etc. i was always taught not to cry when punished so now it is really hard for me to cry from any form of pain. but sometimes i do when it gets really intense or if i am having a particularly emotional day.  occassionally when something gets really intense i do start to cry but something stops the tears from falling. its quite frustrating actually.

I have a low pain tolerance.. which sux.  I bawl quite easily.  Xeth seems to be okay w/ it though.  If he tells me not to make a sound, I try really hard to please him.

i am still of the mind that crying shows weakness.
i usually get very still and quiet when in pain, and angry when hurt.
i wish i could cry.
maybe one day..................

dawntreader -> RE: Crying (4/7/2007 9:51:26 AM)

apettiger,

i can relate to what you have posted...
i can cry at the drop of a hat for happiness, beauty, love etc...

But when it relates to pain, saddness, punishment - i see it as weakness and i struggle with all my might against showing weakness...unfortunately, it has resulted in a few "punishments" that went a bit too far in the "quest for tears"...

i sort of go through a three step process while being whipped

1) the ouchie stage (i say ouch a LOT)
2) the crying stage
3) the mmmmmm stage

the first stage is me taking in the pain and not really knowing where to put it. the second stage is me releasing the pain...sometimes i have to calm down slightly before continuing. the third stage is when i deal with the pain and release it as fast as possible.

i don't like pain, but thankfully i've learned to process it :)
