If you never comprimise, you have comprimised anyway because you traded time for the hope of getting what you want.

Maybe it's just way too early for me to be up but could you expound on that?

Anytime you make a choice you have comprimised something.  If I only want a blond and I turn down a brunette, I haven't comprimised my standards for women but I have comprimised my sex life by turning down the blond.

We don't tend to think of comprimise in this way but I do.  Perhaps it is my background in weapons design, but we think of 'elegant comprimises" where the whole is more than the sum of the parts.

Cars are perhaps an easier example.  I want a fast sports car.  Race cars are the "fastest sports cars" but they are bumpy as hell, no air conditioning and cramped.  So you add shocks which dimenishes your cornering ability, to run air condiitioning you need more power which means a bigger engine which adds more weight and lessens your cornering ability.  You make the car bigger so it isn't so cramped but you raise the center of gravity.

Some cars make these comprimises well and others don't.  We call the ones that do Classics...

I don't think this is what the op meant though.  There are several uses of the word compromise.  Imo, the op was referring to compromise as (a) "settlement of differences reached by mutual concessions."
I believe what you posted refers more to the use of the word as meaning "to cause the impairment of "  (ie your sex life by choosing the blonde over the brunette). And you aren't compromising with anyone else.

Oversimplied,  it's more like, "Honey if you really want to rape that blonde bitch tonight,  let's do it. But I'd like to kidnap the brunette tomorrow, ok?"

Once you compromise you can never go back to staus quo,So therefore no compromise is offered here..All things should have been worked out in the beginning.Once mid stream its too late to hook the horses to the wagon...bounty

Gotta be one hell of psychic dom to negotiate all contingencies seen snd unforeseen in advance!  LOL

Where does compromise begin? Where does it end.? Should you compromise at all?

In any relationship there needs to be some type of compromising. It is part of communication, and settling diffrences. Where it ends, is when you start compromising your values and morals. Since no two (or more) can see thing completely eye to eye, there will come a time that not everything is agreed on and there will need to be some mutual agreement. So yes....it is only part of having a livable relationship with other human beings.

You can always not compromise, but you will find in time there is no one who really wants to be around you.
