for me has to be older... at least a few years.  dont think i would ever like to try a relationship with someone my own age or younger.  i dont have an issue with much much older even, but that depends on the individual.  ex Dominant was involved with was old enough to be my father, didnt make any difference to me... just loved Him sooo much, i dont recommend it though unless He is sure He doesnt have any issues with big age gaps.  i think in my case He was the one with all the issues... not me, He just worried too much about what other people would think all the time

Hm.  Not sure if I have a preference.  My Dom happens to be younger. I've not had any others to compare experiences.

The Masters that I have had over the past 5 years were all older than I am. The first was 3 years older than me, the second 2 years older and my current Sir is 7.5 years older than I am.

Due to the fact that I'm in my late twenties, a Sir younger than me would likely be in a completely different stage of life than I am and we wouldn't be all that compatible. So far, I am finding that I am very happily compatible with Sir! Yay! [:)]

Considering I am not looking for a master, but a mistress....
I still prefer them older than I. (Considering that I am 20, thats a given, and shouldn't be very difficult!) 
That said, I am also not interested in anyone old enough to be my mother.  Age 25-35 is sort of my ideal, but of course, for the right lady, age wouldn't be a factor.
If I met an amazing 20 year old mature, responsible Domme, yes.  If I met an amazing 45 year old Domme I was attracted to and vice versa, yes.

age isn't much of a factor for me.  however,  i've pretty much always had younger D's (over 21), i think because i'm immensely attracted to young men and their imagination and stamina.  yum.

I like my age or older.  Tried the whole thirtysomething range, didn't work for me.

I think the best possible age for a master is 36.

But next year I'll think it's 37.

imo
maturity and life experience * and learning something from those experiences*.
 
# age is not a guarantee or  accurate barometer of either or neither.

For friendship I prefer men who are witty and have a sense of humor.  For a relationship I prefer a man who is over 45 (Im 57)  and who is witty and has a sense of humor.  I do prefer men who do not use the title "Master" as part of their name.

because of my young age i perfer old masters...someone at my age...or even 19  is a little too young and i don't think they can be as mature as i need them to be with the type of relationship i was looking for.

but saying that i don't want someone who is 56..that's just too old. i mean old as in like someone 26.

It depends on experience but older is better. I'm a female sub at 20 years old and my master is 40. He has a lot of experience though.

older!  My Master is 12 years older than I am and he has the maturity needed to know what to do.  I think that a Dom/Master that is younger just isn't tuned into their sub/slave's needs.  An older Master has knowledge and has studied his personal wants/needs, much easier to deal with, I think.

  I prefer someone close enough to my age to be at the same stage in life as I am (that is, pre-marriage, pre-kids, just getting into "grown-up life"). I need someone immature enough to play video games with me, but mature enough for me to trust and to have gotten over all teenage's annoying habits. I don't want someone old enough to have been my father.

I prefer older. The older the better. I have always been with men younger than me. Since my involvement in this lifestyle, I have discovered an emotional need that so far, has only been able to be filled with older Dominant men. The man I am currently involved with is 10 years older.

This girl is totally bias on this statement .... Older Masters most definately ;-)
 
The girl has had younger Doms but its the maturity that the girl goes for, Older Doms have had more life experiences and know the more emotional side of control rather than just physical side of things.
