This is my first time visiting the Gorean Lifestyles and I must compliment you all on the quality of your responses particularly aeaa and OrionTheWolf. I'm very familiar with the Gor books basing my style of Dominence on them.
MJinx the best way for you to gain the acceptance you desire is to participate in the forums or chatrooms or your local community and let people get to know you. If you demonstrate your intelligence, courtesy, honor, etc. people will no longer think about your age just who you are. Asking questions is also a way of getting mentored by others who have been there before you. Best wishes.

To cindy and other younger people. I find it of great interests that you feel things are more difficult for you where everywhere else the older folks feel like they are not considered as partners because of their age. So let's agree that it can be difficult at any age for a variety of reasons.
What most of the responders are trying to tell you is that maturity comes with age and having lived. That is the difference between someone who picks up a whip for the first time at age 40 or 20. Life experiance, knowing when to talk and when not too. What consequences are, what responsiblity is. You can have all the physical experiance in the world but that doesn't give you wisdom only time  and living can. Do you remember the girl you were at 20. Have you, grown, learned and are now 25? Are you the same as when you were at 20. Of course not. that's the beginning of maturity.
Old saying.....youth is wasted on the young.
