*smiles softly* Greetings Aall,
This slave is curious to know if there are others out there who have experienced such an aching, yearning, absolute NEED to serve that it pained their souls...brought tears to their eyes? ~she feels rather dramatic and very much like a cry-baby, lol... but, that doesn't change her feelings much. If there are others who have experienced the same thing, this slave would appreciate hearing about it and would welcome any suggestions on how to help ease the pain, to remain focused and not "settling". Thank Yyou Aall in advance and she wishes Yyou Aall a beautiful day.

Hi schiava, are you referring to serving your Dom or to serving in general? If it is serving your Dom and you are in love with Him then yes i think that may be pretty common. When hubby told me He wanted to be my Master it was one of the happiest days of my life and i went through those emotions and still do at times.

If you refer to feeling an almost overwhelming need to serve in general, yes. Many sub/slaves go through that. Here is an article that describes some of the feelings - http://www.steel-door.com/Frenzies.html *winks at MistressDread* Gosh I wonder where I have seen that URL before.

As far as help in remaining focused and not "settling", I can only tell you what I have done when I find myself considering being with Mr. Not Quite Right instead of continuing the search for "The ONE". It took me almost 40 years to realize I was a sub (ok ok so I'm slow!) and when I think back on the misery I went through as I tried to remake myself to fit in with the expectations of my partners *shudders*. I have come to realize that for me (not for everyone of course) even celibacy is better than going through the mental and even physical pain of being with the wrong partner.

It hurts a lot to be alone and needing to serve schiava, and yes the craziest things can make me cry at times. But dont ever think it invalidates the emotions your feeling! When the need hits me I find a way to serve others non sexually, non lifestyle - such as volunteering in a womans shelter, or working with an animal rescue group. There is nothing that makes me feel more needed than seeing a dog that was half starved and hurt regain its health and learn to play and then finding it a home with people who will love and care for it. But thats just me *smiles* So find something that will let you serve in general and never give up on finding your "ONE".

On the very worst days when I catch myself wanting to settle for Mr. Close Enough for This Week, then I have to turn off the computer and walk away until I have better control over myself. Luckily those days dont happen often and hugging one of my dogs usually helps some.

Greetings and thank you for your replies.....this slave will certainly check out the link provided, she thanks you again. ~she is referring to the need to serve in general... it feels totally consuming and overpowering, creating an empty, aching need within this slave... sounds really silly she supposes, but tis fact regardless. Again, she thanks you for your replies and offer of friendship, she returns the same to Aall.
