Something odd happened to me last night on CM. i was contacted by this Dom (i won't say who). i had just posted a short journal, and this guy was responding too it. We had a short conversation. His emails were kind of odd. They were all single sentences and seemed almost robotic or route, although he was obviously reading and responding to what i was saying, so it couldn't have been a robot. He seemed to be telling me what he thought i wanted to hear, although his responses seemed almost formulaic. There was also an odd delay between the time i emailed him, and when he would answer. He did not ask me for money, or pictures or anything. Well, several people looked at my profile at the same time, and i looked back, and i guess i confused their profile information with his. i looked at some other guy, who had multiple cities of residence in his profile. i thought it was the guy i was talking to, and so i asked him why he had so many cities in his profile. What was odd, is that he answered the question, instead of asking me what i was talking about, although his answer didn't make sense. He responded that he had a stalker and a hacker, and that he kept complaining to the CM management, but they couldn't do anything about it. i didn't understand how that was an answer to the question i had asked him, but i didn't really think that much about it at the time. We exchanged a few more emails, and in the middle of one of those strange pauses, while i was waiting for his answer, i emailed his and told him i had to go to bed. i was really tired, because i hadn't slept the night before, and it was getting late. So, i emailed him, and told him i had enjoyed talking to him, and hoped to talk to him again sometime, and then logged off CM. This morning, i logged on CM again, and discovered that after i had logged off last night, this guy had sent me a message, but i couldn't read it because he had "unsent" it. What does that mean? How can you unsend an email? Furthermore, earlier this morning, before i logged on, he sent me two separate friend invitations, one right after the other. When i logged on and read them, i accepted them both. i usually accept friend invitations, and i thought it was just a computer glitch that there were two of them. i was answering a bunch of emails in a row, going down the list of the oldest ones first. Anyway, the odd thing is that i had received another email, a few minutes after this guy sent me his friend invitation. It was from someone else that i had never spoken to, and who had never viewed my profile. This person warned me "do not accept my friends invitation", and that he couldn't explain now, and that i shouldn't try to contact him but should wait till he contacted me again. This person did not have an active profile. i was getting suspicious at that point, but it was too late. i had already accepted the friend invitation. It was also unclear whether it was a different person that had sent me this warning, or the same guy that sent me the friend invitation. His exact words were to not accept "his friends invitation". That could mean not to accept the invitation from him, or that his friend had sent it. Like, maybe he forgot the apostrophe, or something. Also, this mysterious warning that i shouldn't try to contact him, and should wait for him to contact me and explain. i am tempted to think this whole this is just a practical joke, somebody getting a kick out of trying to fuck with me. But i don't know. i didn't give this guy any personal information, except my first name. Either guy, if there were really two of them. i am wondering if anyone out there has had this happen to them. Thanks for reading. pam
