I went to the first round of American Idol tryouts.  Fortunately/Unfortunately, I'm not legally allowed to talk about it.  *wink, wink, nudge, nudge*

So, pbm, what's the best movie you've seen recently?

My Flesh and Blood.  A documentary about a woman who adopted eleven special needs children and is raising them alone.  It followed her family over the course of a year, and showed happy moments, as well as tragic moments, like the death of one of her sons.  It was riveting, powerful and awe-inspiring.

Soooo...pbm, what was the last book you bought?

Cell by Stephen King.  At 3:03 on October 30th, everyone in the middle of a cell phone conversation goes utterly apeshit.  The best scene is where they thought the phone-crazies were getting smarter because they were collecting electronic equipment, and the MCs found a discarded Michael Bolton CD.

"And you said they were getting smarter," one said sarcastically.

"Don't be so quick to judge - somebody threw this away."

So, PBM, what is the most moving book you've read in the past year?

Why, I do talk to inanimate objects, but not to coddle them in order to make them work. No, I rather like cursing at them, making sure they understand the cruelty and terror of what I have in store for them should they persist in not working.

Sooo PBM, have a favorite inanimate object that works every time?

The Georgia Bulldogs....which is crazy seeing as how I live in Florida Gator country. You have no idea how often my red and black truck covered in Dawg paraphinalia gets egged every football season. I have often been sitting alone on game day in a bar, wearing my georgia shirts with all my georgia gear, screaming and yelling at the big screen tv...while my Sir pretends to not know me by sitting on the other side of the bar.

sooooooooooo........pbm, do you often take risks during football season to cheer for your favorite team?

Yes... but not as much these days. It was pretty ugly, being a Purdue alumnus living in Bloomington IN...

So, PBM - football or football? That is, what gets called soccer or NFL type oblong ball throwing running climbing trees...

{geek points if you get the reference}

No no - it's a reference to un travestie executif... so no points to you.

As far as cover songs go - they can be cool. I subscribe to Coverville. Remake a movie, and you're generally losing my money. Notable exception: Diabolique. The new version was excellent with the added Kathy Bates bit...

So, PBM - the same: original or remakes?

I don't know... do you love "Farscape" like I do?

Soooo, PBM prefers to watch movies in the comfort of their own home theaters (or bedrooms, or whatever).
