plans...yea...I have lots of those...more plans than I can actually finance......
Ok..grande scheme plan??.....OK..the house was built in 1923....but it was built out of lumber from an even older school that was being torn down. So, there are places, where the wood REALLY needs to be replaced. The back wall which gets way too much sun and weather is just about falling apart, and I cant repair some boards because the lumber behind it just crumbles to dust when you try to screw into it. There is a window on the back of my house which is literally about to fall out of the wall. The north side of the house isnt quite as bad, but some of the old siding needs to be replaced and unfortunantly they no longer make that pattern, so I will have to have it custom milled for me. The house was moved back in the 80's, and its settling badly in some places, and lots of places really need to be jacked up by almost 2 inches. I dont have the equipment for it really, I occasionally get under there with a 2ton hydrolic jack and fix some places a small bit, but it really needs more work than Im capable of. So one day, when I win the lottery, Im going to hire someone to really rip the house down to the studs and replace all the rotten lumber, then level the house back out for me too. I only have one bathroom, but there really isnt anywhere in the house I can add another one either, unless I turn the office into a bathroom, which Ive considered honestly, but then I dont know where I would put the computers...unless I finally get around to turning the attic into a masterbedroom...which I really want to do. It will give more room downstairs for the UMs as they get older, and I can turn the eaves into storage closets. Houses built back then had no closets, so I have no where to store anything! I would also like to build my own barn, Im tired of having to borrow both my neighbors. Im using my aunts to the left of me for storage...which most of that I can throw away the minite my grandparents die, but I really have way too much stuff anyway....and my grandparents to the right of me has all my tools and work stuff in their garage. Id probably keep their garage as my work space, but Id like my own garage with a mudroom in the back of my house so Daddy no longer has to strip out of disgusting clothes on my front porch and I dont have to park my vehicles under the oak trees anymore. the current single bathroom in the home...the tub is pink..no really..pink....Id love to rip it out of there and put in a new one..ive done some scetching, and if I move the drainpipe system under the house around just a bit, I can actually fit one of those really nice 6' jacuzzi tubs into my bathroom and a bigger sink and counter area..the layout right now just sucks, lots of wasted room....but then, thats way down the financial plan too.....Id like to put decent carpet in the two bedrooms where I couldnt restore the original hardwood floor. There is one bedroom where I could and its just gorgeous....the other two bedrooms still have rough sawn planks down that are split and have gaps in them and its just...well...it needs to be fixed.
