Status: offline 		Why are people allowing their blood pressure to be raised over an opinion of someone 15 years ago? 

Oh, I forgot, we need to also be worrying about the recllections of another persons kindergarten teacher as well.


This is really getting ridiculous.

Status: offline 		Thanks dc.  After reading the first 3 posts, my blood pressure went sky high too! It's comments by some people which gets me riled up, especially since I've spent the past 8 years doing volunteer work with my local AIDS agency and have a few friends who are positive.

Status: offline 		The thing is Aylee, that mentality still persists to this day. I don't know about you but I was in my early 20's when HIV first appeared in North America and most of the younger generation doesn't know what it was like in the pre AIDS era.

Status: offline 		My fear is that getting way outta hand and the next thing we know, people will be branded or marked in some way to deterime what orientation they are or if they are perfectly healthy, etc. And we all know that had happened 60+ years ago in Europe.

The Clinton campaign has made a big issue over rather Obama has had long term plans to gain the presidency.  He says that he has not.  But they have argued that his kindergarten teacher recalls him writing an "essay" that said that he wanted to be president when he grew up.

Two quick reactions:

-- Actually what I'm reacting to in the HIV thread is posts that fellow CM people are making today, right now, in 2007.

-- Mein Kampf was published eight decades ago, so by your logic, one should be able to read it without "getting worked up"? I can't speak for anyone else, of course, but I've a hunch I'd find it a tad disturbing.

1.  My thoughts are even harsher than those that have been posted.  There is an entire segment of HIV+ people that I would have shot on sight.  But that is just me.

2.  Yes I would expect you to be able to read Mein Kampf, without being distrubed that "Oh CRAP!  This Hitler guy is gonna double cross Russia"  or  "Holy Cow, this dude thinks that there is a Jewish Conspiracy!"

Status: offline 		Not everyone with a horrible disease is a good person.  That is why Africa has the fastest growing HIV rate.  One of the reasons this is, is because one of the believed cures is for a male with HIV to force himself on a virgin female.  And they do so repeatedly.

I personally think that these people should be shot.

What would you do with them?
