No, although it would have secured my place in history. It happened during the winter of 79 or 80 in the Mohawk Valley of upstate NY. The usual cold spot of Old Forge was hanging around even colder than that. That was a winter where International Falls, MN and Old Forge, NY were vying for the nation's coldest spots while above the Arctic Circle, the tundra and permafrost were melting under +60 F warmth. Go figure.
