This is one of those situations where someone is bound to be upset, possibly angry, with another. Ghita, you have my sympathies with your grandmother. There's not much advice I can offer other than if she refuses to seek medical attention, there's not a whole lot that you, as her granddaughter, can do about it. You can entice... insist... bribe... implore... get angry... but after all that, if she still refuses, that's it. It's her call. Of course, if you had the power of attorney over her health and medical care, you can make that call. Until then, you can assist her and be upset with her, but it's still her decision. Aylee, I'm not sure what the rules are for ambulance transport in ghita's county of residence, but where I live, if the patient is conscious, coherent, and is in control of their own actions (that is, no one else has a medical power of attorney over them), and refuses medical treatment and transport, the emergency responders have no recourse other than to accept that decision and leave. I know... I've been on the receiving end where family members called an ambulance on my behalf after my neuro condition overcame me. I refused to be transported, signed off on their call paperwork to that effect, and they left. They told my family that they can't do anything since I had refused their services. My heart goes out to you ghita because it's a situation where you want to do more, but your hands are tied. *... hugs ...*
