It really bothered me.  She was talking about me moving to DC instead of Washington.  I was talking to someone there (who I guess she knows) and even though we had never spoken on the phone, nor exchanged pictures, plus he was poly and wouldn't get married....and he called me selfish because he "offered me everything" and I threw it away.  It just stings, being called a coward like that, without even the opportunity to defend myself.

I can definitely understand the part about not being able to defend myself. Many here can relate. It does sting the ego. However, the important thing to remember is that you've got friends, both in real life and within these hallowed fora, that can vouch for your character. Hopefully that makes the sting nothing more than a momentary irritant that is soon forgotten.

From it, I gather that you are some sort of misogynist, or if not that, you at least do not value females highly, to say the least. 

You may want to consider changing it.
