ORIGINAL: instynctive but it's not Maine... although... This state is a pale image of its former self. That saddens Me... Y'know, i have to agree with You there....there was a time i'd have fought tooth and nail to stay in this state....but the economy is starting to darken the natural beauty of the state that drew me to begin with....and now *shrug* my instinct for survival is kickin' in lol That's how MI is to me...its a beautiful state that is slowly dying. I had to get out or I was never going to find a job. sucks when shit like that happens, doesn't it *sigh* Yes, it does. That's how I feel about my upstate NY... the place I consider to be "home." I would love to go back there but the economy tanked in the late 80s/early 90s and it never recovered. I do feel like I need to return there though, if for no other reason than it's the only place where the weather is actually helpful in keeping my neuro syndrome in check. Of course, where I am now, the economy is heading towards a self-implosion, so I too am joining the ranks of those exploring other options.
