Since Wizards of the Coast bought out TSR (ie. v. 3), that game went downhill. The Dragonlance "New Age" or whatever it was called completely abolished dice.. WotC had turned it into M:TG. *puke* I still have all my Ed.1 and Ed. 2 books.. Ed. 1 was da bomb. :-) My god.. I'm a DORK. Then you do NOT want to know ALL of the RPG stuff that we have in this house. Nor, the decor of the nursery. As for Sappa and Bear. . . My other half has and does run games for and with beginers. I am SURE that he is not the only one. If you are really interested, you should find a local game store and ask them if they have any open games or DMs that would not mind a just learning. You can get a basic players kit with book, character sheet, dice, and mini for about 25 to 30 dollars. Personally, I just enjoy games. If you want to try a role-playing kind of game, but without all of the paraphenilia, I suggest, Betrayal at the House on the Hill, it is technically a board game, but there is a bit of role play. There is also the card game, Munchkin, all the thrill of the dungeon crawl with none of the role play. Happy gaming!
