However, when you do have such a split or close to it, you create a situation where one gender can be seen as being more valuable than another. Also, that certain classes are worth more than another. To further this. If you allow polygyny (note spelling) you create a situation where the number of wives becomes a status symbol on what you can afford, an outward display of wealth. This encourages the thinking that women are things, instead of being self-actualzing humans in their own right. Now personally, I do not care how people want to set up their marital relationships. Group marriage, linear marriage, homo, hetro, polyandry, polygamy, or polygyny, or any other combination. Have at it.
