Status: offline 		I love people who write to me about my journal entries (which are all song lyrics) and then rip me a new one when I tell them that they are just the song in my head on that particular day and have no real meaning...

Obviously I am a fake because I do not pour my heart out onto this public journal.

I used to write actual journal entries with meaning and stuff. I kept getting blasted for talking about my personal life on a public board. I doubt you can win either way....

I am not using it for revenue, and I am citing the artists, as well as the source of the song.  Plus, the lyrics have beenr eleased into the public domain.  I'm not using them for personal gain.

There is no infringement.

Last night was classic Arrrggghhh-ery at its finest. I was not present, but I read through the numerous posts, and it was extremely entertaining. ;-)

So after a really good appointment in a larger Maine city, the family and I were on our way home.  On a whim, I decided to stop at a local hardware store to purchase an ash bucket, something we really need because of the amount of wood we're burning this year.

I have been keeping an eye on WalMart and a few other "discount" places for said ask bucket, but to no avail.

With great rejoicing, I immediately spotted a whole shelf of ash buckets!  What luck!  Such fortune!  True, they were galvanized, but beggers cannot be choosers.

I walked to the display shelf and looked at the price.  $41.99.  That's right.  That's *not* a typo.  FOURTY FUCKING ONE DOLLARS AND NINETY-NINE FUCKING CENTS FOR A FUCKING PIECE OF TIN FUCKING SPOT WELDED ONTO ANOTHER PIECE OF TIN!!

$41.99.

When the FUCK did we invade Australia?  Or is it Brazil? 

As I was leaving the store, disgusted with today's economy, a rather snooty-sounding employee asked if I'd found what I was looking for.

I reponded: "Yup, but not that that price."

Ugh.

Okay, rant over.  Please return to your regularly scheduled program(me).  :-)
