If you have any of those cheap refrigorator biscuits, you can cut them in forths and fry them in hot oil, then roll them in cinnomen and sugar.  Not exactly a donut, but it is close and it might do.  I realize that with all the snow that you all have, just running to the bakery is out of the question.

lol, my granny used to do the same thing with canned biscuits...i make them as "treats" every now and again   i honestly thought i was the only freak who did that lol!

i satisfied my donut "need"...a bagel with peanut butter...not exactly the same, but it'll fill me *nod*

Did you fill before or after frying?

Hot gooey  carmel and chocolate ( rolo candy)
                carmel /chopped apple
                chocolate / Raspberry
                               / Coconut
                Coconut/chopped pinapple


Came up with it one night when it was cold and no sweet type things in the house had real hot cocoa and those it was fun made up enough  for everyone to  have one  of what the others picked

Oh, and b - I was sitting at the pharmacy the other day and looked at the shelf of tummy stuff - and I am SO sorry I gave you a misdirect on the antacid stuff....... its not Maalox you want, it is Gaviscon (which is much tastier)  I'm really sorry about that .... blame it on my aging brain.  And now that the kidlets are at school, I'm going for a nap.  Bye!!!!!
