Status: offline 		Hello, all.  Sounds like not many of us got a good night's sleep.  I sure didn't.  Daddy came by to say a brief hi before going to do some work this morning.  I sent Thing 2 to a Saturday kids event 30 minutes away with her little friends on the bus.  Before she even got there, she was hurling.  An hour later, they were calling me to pick her up.  In the meantime, I got a call from one of my oldest and dearest friends, crying and asking to meet me her right away because she needed a good divorce attorney.  While trying to put gas in the car so I could pick up Thing 2 and settling my friend down, I got a call from home asking when I would be back because my father wanted a hair cut and Thing 1 was starving.  I was not pleasant.

Two hours later, all the fires have been put out temporarily, and I have apologized for going postal.  Has anyone ever had one of these kind of days, working on three hours sleep before hand?  Please say yes so I don't feel so bad about jumping on everyone.

Yep, Red, a lot of days are like that around here. Thursday was a day like that here. Monster #2 was in a minor car accident in the morning, I had a CT scan and got sicker than a dog, then on my way home from the hospital, monster #3 got into a welding accident at school. All within a 4 hour period.... I was NOT a happy camper that day. So relax, take a deep breath and know you have company.

Status: offline 		  Days like that happen around here. All too often. *sigh* It's life. But as I tell myself (quoting a wise old dinosaur) "this too shall pass, this too shall pass"..... Hopefully Thing 2 feels better soon and your friend gets the help she needs. The best divorce attorney I know is in California, the other side of the country from you. I had an uncontested divorce, represented myself and still got everything. But that's because the guy knew he didn't stand a chance with all the evidence and proof I had.

Status: offline 		I did my divorce pro se as well, but I had been a domestic law paralegal for 9 years and preparing divorce papers and custody agreements was what I did so I sure wasn't going to pay someone to do it for me.  My ex was pro se as well, with a little help from me, and filed the answers and documents that were needed.  We got our divorce over and done, 2 Things, real property, etc. without incident, and only cost $69.00 for the filing fee. 

I know several good lawyers around here, but I want to have a good sit-down talk with her before she goes half-cocked without thinking properly.  She sounded a little more calm after our phone call, but I just want her to act instead of RE-act.  Sometimes gathering your senses and taking a deep breath is a good first step.

Status: offline 		Yanno, DRH...I have had a few days like that myself lately.  With me, I think it is because I caught a dose of the "creeping crud" and had to doctor myself.  I am not the best patient in the world...better than some of my own but worse than quite a few.  And that tends to make ME cranky.

I think there's still a full-sized teddy bear around here in storage, left here by one of my nieces. Sure you wouldn't rather have that? ;-)

I know those days as well; the kind where if you tried to explain to others all that's gone on, they just look at you and ask what drugs you're on because surely is a product of imagination and/or exaggeration.

I'm sure that is Kali. So, if I'm reading this correctly, if you spend time out in real life with others, it appears you have no need for arms. But, should you spend time here in the "unweal" world, you do.
