I am highly interested in an armor corset for a slave girl.  I met a user a while back who had a picture of an armor corset on their profile.

If someone can put me in touch with this user, or if you have information pertaining to an all metal corset do let me know.

You will find it a harpressed search..
For
A. there is a smal market
B. the skill to create them is a practiced ghobby these days

My best advice, Renaissance fairs have blacksmiths that keep practice the trade...
They are called (traditonally) an Iron Corset
Good luck....

I used to be a professional armorer, and make things like that. I no longer have the shop and tooling to make these-it will take a few years before I feel like doing this sort of an item again.

When *I* was making this sort of item in custom fit stainless steel-it cost about a grand. And took several *in person* fittings to get it right..

Reverse bends in stainless steel are an asolute bitch. They have to be hot forged over steel forms. If you use regular steel, it rusts. One of my last armoring projects was for a fit lady jouster. An articulated steel breast and back they call an "anime". Couldn't get here up here but once for a fitting..tried to go by measurements alone, damned thing was too tight once it was over her arming coat. Had to completely rebuild the back to fit properly-in less than a day.

Now if I had a STOCK pattern, it might have been different.....But steel plate is not exactly a "one size fits all" sort of thing like leather. You can't just tug some laces and have it cinch in. The fit has to be perfect. Which means drawing and fitting a pattern part by part by part.  And that takes a LOT of time.

PLUS the person it is being built for needs to be acessible. If not-even more wasted time.

People need to understand something about custom. All of your regular fetish items that come in sizes were ground out on models who were a certain size. And most were designed with adjustments to fit the sizes in between those-small, meduim, large, extra large.......

You don't get to do that with sheet steel. Which is why you see so little of it-it's a waste of time to pre build it-it most certainly will not fit-unless purpose made.

Even decent leather is this way-custom will average about three times the labor hours of a stock item for a new pattern, made  to measure. Unless you are dealing with MINOR modifications to an existing pattern that Almost works.

The rub is this, the craftsperson still needs to make a certain amount per hour to survive in business. If you can't pay it-they simply cannot afford to work for you.

I was expecting it to be about that much, haha. Just the collars we have made go for about 90$ and C and I can knock them out in about 20 minutes.

I have a welder friend.. I showed him the corset and he was all gung-ho about helping me with it... yay!  When you say draw  a pattern, do you mean do it in paper/cardboard  something like that, then hold it up to the person?  We really want to try and make something like this, but it's getting started that's the hard part.

Poster board. And it's gonna warp like a mother if you try to weld it. Better off riveting it. And I hope you have a beverly shear to cut it-or you are going to go through a LOT of bi metal blades cutting it.

Seriously, I can see trying something like this to make a "mould/form" for the armorer to use:
Tape a large plastic garbage bag around the torso of said corsetee. Next apply good old fashioned papier mache (newspaper soaked in a guey mess of flour and water) in layers to make say, an eighth of an inch thickness. Hold still (as much as possible, while it dries  - heat lamp, hair dryer, hot desert air......). Then wrap several layers of duct tape over the top. Take blanket/cast scissors and cut off the "model" into maybe about 4 pieces, which can then be reassembled, and should be semi-sturdy at least to withstand shipping.

No idea if that would work, but it might be at least fun to try.......

I prefer a plaster cast. I still need at least one fitting.
