I worked for years in a process serving office, doing research, serving, visitation supervision, custody supervision, you name it. Worked in the office doing billing, payroll, worked with the clients, and assigned jobs to the other servers. I so related to your post to Asher!

The only thing I had to be careful with is that I am tall enough that if they thought about it, some people could claim I "intimidated" them so I made sure they never knew if I had a gun or not. And I was always impeccably polite and well-mannered, dressed in a professional manner. Which is why I could do things and go places other servers couldn't. They never seemed to learn that lesson. *snickers* Oh well, their loss, my gain...

Status: offline 		You're so funny!  One of my PI friends told me that I'd be great as a PI/PS because I just don't look the type and I was able to find out all sorts of stuff for clients in our domestic law cases. 

When you talk about height intimidation, I find that if I want to feel esp. toppy, I make damn certain that my posture is perfect, and I stand at all of my nearly 6-footedness.  My niece who is a few years younger than me used to call this "mall stance" because we would go shopping on Black Friday and when ppl started pushing and such, I'd stand tall, esp. in the checkout lines, no slouching allowed, and would peer down at the tops of the other customers' heads behind me.  Do that wearing all black, not smiling, cocking one eyebrow up and just stand there.  Folks tend to stop shoving you really fast.
