I hate it that I take a few simple days off the boards and I feel like I've been gone forever.... All right my dear friends (you know who you are!) - I'm playing catch up here. Christine, hugs to you about your car. I left mine in Idaho with my son. Now it's his responsibility. Hopefully it's nothing major for you to get it fixed.

thanks LRF, the car won't be too bad, just a serpentine belt i think. i posted this somewhere else a few days ago, but if i would have known you were stopping over in SLC i would have tried to meet you at the airport (if you had a long enough layover that is)

I hate it that a full load of water in the machine takes FOREVER to bail out...and it's friggin HOT outside..

I'm just going thru a breakup, that is so insignificant compared to what you & your family are going thru. You have ALOT to get thru this week prior to the funeral it'll be overwhelming at times so please remember that I'm here for you.

Hotty, same state hell, I'm living with Lumus now. Faery is up in Toronto, about 1 3/4 an hour or maybe 2 hours from here. Not too bad at all. Flights were wonderful, some of the best I've ever had in all my life. A little turbulence but nothing major. Had one of the sweetest landings I've ever felt, I'm writing the airline to tell them how good all the flights were in fact. All you hear are the negative things yet I had no problems. I was searched a couple of times but that's fine, I'm used to it and prepared for it.

Christine, SLC was a massive blur. Both connections were. I got off the plane, ran out to security to discover it was dead so I risked going out to the bank to exchange my currency. I was only out a few minutes and sure enough, when I got back, there was a line. I got back to the gate just as they were boarding my plane. Then when I got to Minneapolis, I discovered what a large airport that is! And my gates were on opposites ends of the damn thing! By the time I got out of the one area, found out what gate I needed to be at, started hiking down there, grabbed a bite (since I hadn't eaten yet and it was 6 pm!) and kept walking to the gate, they had started boarding that plane! Madness, I tell ya! And to think that the travel agent almost booked me on flights with 15 and 20 minute layovers. I would never had made my flights!!

But it was to a warm welcome that I arrived... Any awkwardness lasted about 15 seconds of me walking in the door. It's been an incredible weekend and settling in.

I'm actually doing much better today. The shock has worn off and I'm actually just happy knowing he isn't in pain. His last day here was horrific, so I wouldn't wish him back for anything. I love him, I have my memories, and I'm at peace. Still waiting for service details.

BTW, I get through crises best by helping and listening to others going through rough spots. It's just kind of a quirk.

I'll probably call you later just so we can ((hug)) via phone. Yes, Daddy has a brother, married, with children, and as vanilla as they come. *sigh*

I think we can hunt down, I mean find (giggles), a nice, sexy, less than nilla guy for you... Let me get my binoculars and go to the top floor of my building. I'll let you know what I see.

Oh, I think the fact that you got LR, Lumus, and Faery in the same (and correct) country should earn you partial credit. Everyone knows Americans are bad with geography.
