I hate it that my kitty is going downhill and fast. I had so much planned today utilizing what time I had left before I got a job, but I've cleared my schedule and I'm just sitting with ehr. She won't be around much longer.

Me: (after reading a letter from a patient's employer to the patient) Miss Smith, make sure you go to your workplace tomorrow to sign the new paperwork for the family medical leave act so your time off work can continue. If you don't, you will be considered as abandoning your job and they will fire you.

Miss Smith: Okay.

A week passes....

As I'm sitting with a phone to each ear, on hold for two different people, Miss Smith walks in...

Miss Smith: I need you to drop everything you're doing and give me a copy of my file right now to take to an attorney. I'm suing my employer because they fired me.

Me: Did you go sign the FMLA paperwork like it said in that letter the employer gave you?

Miss Smith: I didn't think I had to, nobody else ever does.

Thanks guys. She's 17, but she was a rescue cat and fafter all she's been through I was hoping she could just die with old age. If she's around much longer and hurting like she is I'm going to take her to the vet and have her put down I just hate seeing her suffer.

This Southern Belle was hosting a dinner party, and some people she did not reconize were introduced to her. After learning thier names.. she asked " Where ya'll from?" The wife of the couple snidely replied " Where we do not end our sentances with prepositions" the Southern Belle was taken back by the ladies rudeness and replied "Where ya'll from Bitch?"
