That sounds a bit claustrophobic.

My bathroom size is okay.  It is a bigger kitchen that I would like.

I would definitely like a bigger kitchen. Mine is very cramped. Of course, it doesn't help that I have my desk where the table should be.

A kitchen that more than one person could be in at a time would be fantastic.  Even better, one of those big square kitchens with the islands.  Oh yeah.  And two ovens.

We have the open design in there, with a double sink, and a soak tub.  That had been carpeted with the same boring beige as the bedroom.  The wc is a tiny little cube that had poorly done tile.  I still have to demo out the damaged drywall.  Thank God we are in an arid climate in the summertime.  No mold issues.

Lack of mold is a big plus.

You gonna replace the carpet with something cooler?

It's funny: Anyone else would look at my bathroom and think "renter rundown": mismatched tile from a renovation God knows when, ancient toilet with no tank, sloppily laid linoleum. But I'm quite fond of it.

Oh yes!  That would be my desire for entering cooking competitions, to win all of those kitchen appliances!  WOOT!  But alas, I am a good cook, but not that good.

I claimed the bathroom in the upstairs hall, so the design decisions are all up to her.  Getting a new shower curtain in mine really isn't an option.  The previous owner painted the bathroom in the same burgundy/teal pattern as the curtain that came with the house.  The change I want to make in there is bringing up the countertop 8 inches.  I hate stooping to rinse my toothbrush and razor.

I'm trying to picture a burgundy-teal scheme, but I can't quite do it. Of course, that may be a mercy.

My shower curtain is clear plastic, so it goes with everything. And I'm having a grand time filling the pockets with tchotchkes.

I agree with you about sink height. Most are too small, I think, and I'm not hugely tall.

It would be nice not to have to stand on my tip-toes to look in the bathroom mirror.  I would be nice to be able to use the top two shelves in my cupboards for things that I actually use.
