Status: offline 		Yanno Cali there is a bit of irony in there and I have to wonder at that Police Officers training... Since he has been served and there is a restraining order, with the exception of the brief periods he is supposed to pick up the Um..YOU would potentially be violating the order to give him a second cop.

Please remember one thing for me... Restraining orders are not bullet proof... watch yourself around him and have someone with you if you can when passing over the Um or do it in a public place.

Status: offline 		Yeah, I'm filling out the paperwork today for the violations.  Having the cop contact me was a violation of the "no indirect contact" part of the order.  I don't know what he told the cop about why he didn't have the order, but the cop was surprised when I said he tore it up and threw it at me.

It may be different in various jurisdictions, but legally, nothing I do will violate the order, and I cannot give him permission to violate the order.  So if I said, yeah, you can come to workplace so we can talk, he would be violating the order by doing what I gave him permission to do and I would not.

me too...it is just so unfair.

but...one good thing...he did NOT endear himself to the police dept by having the cop call you. Methinks it is going to seriously bite him in the ass.

Status: offline 		Okay, back at work.  Went to the courthouse and filed the proof of service on the restraining order.  Then went to the police station for the town I work in (very handy, right across the street from the courthouse) and sat with a detective from the Domestic Violence Unit who wrote up the restraining order violations from last night.  While sitting there, the ex sent me a text.  Classic!  The detective tried to call him but he didn't answer.  He said one more text and he would arrest him.  In the meantime, he is sending the report to the District Attorney and asking for prosecution.

From there, went to the Sheriff's Office (again, very handy, right across the street), to give them a copy of the proof of service.  They maintain the master database on restraining orders throughout the county.

From there, went to the Police Department for the city I live in (basically a suburb of the other city).  They took copies of everything as well and while I was waiting for them to assign me a case number for the registration of the order, a police officer that has known me and the ex for about 6 years walked by and we stood there and talked for 20 minutes.  He said it's only a matter of time, and that he thinks the ex NEEDS to spend a couple days in jail as a wake-up call (funny, the other detective said the exact same thing).

Status: offline 		It sounds like it Cali..but, fromm experience I can say MOST who violate a restraining order and spend time in jail because of it, blame the person who has the order.  Please, Please Please be careful and wary. As those who aid survivors of DV say... the most dangerous time is when you are escaping.

If you are finding yourself depressed and having trouble, it is possible that they are either causing it or making feelings already there worse. It is not uncommon, especially with codeine medications. It is also not uncommon for such feelings to occur after a major accident or when you have been a victim of a crime.

Please speak with your Doctors if you are taking the pain meds.

Or talk to me. I've been on pain meds for about 9 years, and have a decent knowledge of the side effects et cetera and so on yada yada...
