Status: offline 		I hate it when your  am on 4 years, and Im on rough on them. I fall asleep with them on take em off, roll on them, drop them, plus they have been repaired once when I broke them during hurricaine Rita.

I also hate it that I do need a new pair and exam, but wear progressive lens which run up and over $200, not including frames and exam. I guess I could go back to single lens and reading glasses, but gads I got so spoiled with the progressive. At least tho I could get a deal. Grrrrrrrr

dear fuzzy,
i tried single vision contacts in a vain attempt at vanity & discovered that i couldn't see a dang thing that was closer than 4 feet--such as my hands--without the reading glasses...another experiment gone awry.....

Status: offline 		I hate it when Thing 1 opens the front door and it startles me so badly, I jumped out of my seat, scream, and scare the cat... all at the same time.  He felt bad, gave me a kiss, apologized, and then looked at me and started giggling.

You aren't kidding!  At my old job, there were a couple of guys who used to wait till it got quiet at the end of the day, and would come up behind my desk and jab me in the ribs.  I would scream like a banshee and they would just about pee themselves laughing.  I used to tell them I was going to beat them for scaring me.  One guy said, "Ooh, hurt me."  I looked him dead in the eye and said, "You have no idea how many ways I know how to hurt you."  He just wiggled his eyebrows at me and said, "Oh please..."  I said, "Ever had a bull whip light up your ass?  How about a riding crop going full force across the back of your legs?"  He looked at me to see if I was going to smile, and when I just kept staring, he said, "Shit, I think you're serious."  A simple nod from me, and he walked away, muttering.

Back when I was in bifocal stage, I tried contacts too, but the dr suggested one side be close and one be far.  Talk about dizzy, that was a huge failure and I found out that as I suspected I couldnt stand contacts in my eyes LOL

My last visit I got advanced to trifocal stage, that was just daunting but the progressive was perfect, no matter where I looked the vison was correct. They said it would take getting used to but I had no problems with them.

Im tempted to just take these poor mishandled glasses to a jewelry repair and have them do a quick sodder and ignore the fact that I need a script change.

and i hate that much as i love this old old house, it's not very secure at all.

i hate it when i realise that a woman on her own can feel so incredibly unsafe on her own. sigh.

thankfully, they went away (with much swearing and squealing of brakes)

A friend of mine put up a "Beware of snake sign" on her front door.  Then had an empty aquarium in full view of the bay window.  Whenever she was alone in the house she had a note on the front door: "Joe, careful when you come in. The new one got loose and I'm running low on anti-venom.  Just leave the mice in the tank, and don't worry about feeding the rabbit. Kisses, Dana"

I hate it when I'm not as clever as my friends... ^

Status: offline 		why the hell do i answer all cmail?  you'd think i'd learn my lesson by now that being polite just doesn't pay off sometimes.  now that i've blocked 3 people this morning, i might just start using my delete button more often.  why can't some people take a polite no thank you for an answer?  would they rather that i just read and delete?  i bet not, they'd probably have something to say about that too!
